I got another cat yesterday. He is the cutest little thing. My mother-in-law found him cowering underneath one of her bushes in the front yard about a month ago and has been feeding it with a baby bottle and teaching it to use the litter box. It was only maybe two weeks old when she found it. Now it is about six weeks old and she decided that she didn’t want it anymore, so we ended up taking it. She named him “Gizmo” and we decided to keep it because we can’t think of anything better.
Something else I want to share: I discovered The Deism Website recently. It certainly provides food for thought.

after I whined pitifully about the relentless heat, the weather finally broke. We got some rain (not enough), but it is now blessedly, blissfully cool. The air is dry and almost chilly. Life is good.

I’m getting together w/ my sister for a week; we’ve planned this for almost 6 months. She a total sweetheart; a big, laughing, warmhearted lady who’s kinder and more fun than anyone else I know. Lucky she’s my sis, aren’t I?

I just went to an all-day local band rock concert/debauchery thingy today. That was fun; I saw some friends, ran into some people I used to know, and apparently the only person my friend wanted to meet saw me, I saw him, and it just never connected. Ugh. Then I got sunburned to death, I wore a shirt that was too dark a color with no bra so I couldn’t take it off without being arrested, and my friend wouldn’t lend me his nice white shirt he was wearing… And then comes the drunk frat types that attempt to hook up with me and my friend. Ugh! This guy comes up while I’m talking with some guys I know but haven’t seen in a few years, and he starts trying to hook up with my friend, and she’s not having it. I’m kinda busy talking and being shown affection by guys I barely know, and after they leave, he’s all over me. Not only did he taste bad, but he practically drooled all over me and made every attempt to get his hands down my pants. [cringes as the last sentence is being typed] Whatever. At least I had fun and didn’t run into him again. :rolleyes:

On a much more mundane note, my daughter seems to have conquered potty training. She’s been daytime trained for several months now, but still needed pull-up pants at night. But she hasn’t worn those for a little over a week now, and she’s only had one accident.
I am absolutely sick of LA and plan to move back to sunny Hawaii come June. (Or rainy Washington state, if the money’s right. :p)
I got a new puppy.
It’s a male German Shepherd / Golden Lab cross.
8 weeks old.
My cats are not impressed.
