Let’s see… how about the one in which he scared Catholics by falsely claiming the Democrats want to use Federal Powers to close down church charities and hospitals? Or the one in which he scares people about floods of immigrants because (he falsely claims) Obama promises amnesty? Or the one in which he lies and says that health premiums are soaring for “virtually every person”? Or the lie in which he said UPS left 15,000 employee’s spouses without health insurance? How about the lie that expanding Medicaid would hurt the most vulnerable in Texas?
All these, and many more, lies from Cruz hurt “real Americans”. Obama’s made mistakes, and told some lies, but he’s told a lot more truths – and he’s helped way, way more Americans with good policy than he’s hurt with lies. Cruz hasn’t.
I assume you mean that Democrats would like to cut Israel’s aid.
Which is a bizarre thing to argue after Obama, Harry Reid, and several liberal Senate Democrats authored a bill to give Israel an additional $225 million in military aid, which was passed last week and just signed into law the other day.
Suuuuuuuuure, it’s the lib’ruls in Congress who want to end aid to Israel.
Things are so fucked up in your world that I wonder how you function. If I ever see a person walking down the street who is wearing jeans on his arms, socks on his ears, and a baseball cap shoved up his buttcrack, I’ll know instantly it is you, because nobody else could fuck up so many simple things.
I agree that Democratic politicians don’t want to, but large portions of the base sure want to. And some rather loud members of that Democratic base have some pretty nasty ideas about why that is.
Which was false from the beginning. No one with ebola “almost” entered the US; per your cite, they never got closer than 6,000 miles to the US. The president responded as he should have, by not overreacting to every thing Hannity says. Perhaps you should take a clue.
Well for one, I thanked him for having DHS confiscate imported vehicles that don’t comply with EPA standards. Spectacular use of DHS’s time and resources. Since we’ve won the war on terror, DHS can now worry about imported gas guzzlers. And the best part is, they used several gas guzzlers of their own to confiscate the outlaw vehicle! Guess they were expecting serious resistance from the owners.
I was thinking more like donating 10% of your check to the Democrats and calling and yelling at any of your local Congressman and telling them to support Obama’s plans for, well, anything really. You should do that. Its only fair since you’re alive because of him
That’s not quite right. They have homeland security responsibilities, but they are not part of DHS.
As to the Range Rovers, they appear to have been imported into the US with forged paperwork, which is pretty clearly part of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Details seem pretty thin, but I don’t see anything about them being seized because they were gas guzzlers or didn’t comply with EPA requirements. (That’s not to say skirted import regulations because they can’t meet emissions standards, but forged paperwork is certainly within the jurisdiction of DHS.)
Once again, the administration was slow to respond because no one knew who was in charge. Those kinds of failures can only be laid at the feet of the guy at the top.
**A humanitarian organization battling Ebola in Africa pleaded for help for more than a month before the well-publicized infections of two Americans finally prompted a response from the U.S. government, an administrator with Samaritan’s Purse told a congressional subcommittee on Thursday.
“In mid-June, I began speaking privately to U.S. officials that the disease was spiraling out of control and more needed to be done immediately,” said Ken Isaacs, vice president of the North Carolina-based Christian missionary organization. “That the world would allow two relief agencies to shoulder this burden along with the overwhelmed Ministries of Health in these countries testifies to the lack of serious attention the epidemic was given.”**
If there’s a pattern in this administration other than incompetence, it’s that no decisions ever get made quickly. No matter how urgent the situation.
