There may be less material to work with, since admittedly liberals don’t say stupid things as often, or at least they tend to say the same unnewsworthy stupid things over and over. But there have been good examples here. You guys pick on Clothahump in every thread, you don’t need this one for that.

The vast majority provided by loberal posters.
In all fairness, plenty of posters congratulated Clothy on the one time that he posted an actual stupid liberal idea in this thread. 'Tain’t their fault if Clothy was unable to continue the momentum.

A few years ago, I heard a (baseball?) team described as having a 1 game winning streak.

Clothahump started the bleedin’ thread . If ever there were a place to pick on him, it’s this one. And frankly, his abject failure to maintain the thread premise without the help of the very people he started the thread to jeer at, is well worthy of derision.
I’m more of a fart joke and banana peel pratfall guy myself, but hey, whatever busts your gut.
Students want to rename “Lynch Hall” because of the word “Lynch”
The worst part is that the college President–who is supposed to be the adult in the situation–is considering their demands. :smack:
Call me when a left-leaning (Liberal) politician or spokesperson endorses this idea.
This looks more like a stupid college student idea of the day. Of course, for some, they’ll simply straw-man it into “sounds like something I think a liberal would do”

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s suggestion, during an oral argument Wednesday, that black college students might be better off at a “slower-track school” where they “do not feel that they’re being pushed ahead in classes that are too fast for them” has sparked a national uproar.
Reid rips Scalia for his comments from the bench. Fair enough. He has every right too. But here comes the dumb liberal bit.
“Ideas like this don’t belong on the Internet, let alone the mouths of national figures.”
Right, Harry, only ideas liberals approve of belong on the Internet. Fucking unbelievable liberal intolerance, which seems to expand exponentially by the year. All ideas belong on the Internet, you oppressive fuck, bad ones, good ones, mediocre ones, hurtful ones, idiotic ones, liberal ones, conservative ones, and, yes, racist ones, even if we don’t like them.
Talk about the cure being worse than the disease.

Checks thread title for “politician” or “spokesperson” *
Do you think this is something that a conservative would suggest?

I missed the part where he proposed censuring the internet. Perhaps he was saying that people shouldn’t say hateful things.
If you think being told you shouldn’t say hateful things is intolerant, then I hope you never encouter real intolerance.

Well, you’ve certainly, probably, got one there. But isn’t Donald Trump also currently promoting the idea of censoring the Internet?
Maybe we need a ‘Stupid Bipartisan Idea of the Day’ thread.

Actually one of them purposed censoring the internet. One of them was decrying that something might be said and propegated but says nothing about censoring it.
So once again, both sides are not equal and once again someone posting here swings and misses.
Better change the thread to
“Dumb things said by nobodies who I assume are Liberals”
Censor the internet?
It would be a lot easier to herd cats. Cats raised on a diet of raw crocodile meat and methedrine, it would be easier.
I don’t know. Did they want to rename it to Ronald Reagan Hall?

Loretta Sanchez is whipping up a little bit of controversy for being accurate. So not really a stupid liberal idea, but possibly a fatal liberal statement for someone running for Senate:
http://www.politico.com/story/2015/12/loretta-sanchez-muslims-caliphate-terrorism-216656
A prominent Democratic congresswoman and Senate candidate said that up to 20 percent of Muslims want to establish an Islamic caliphate and would use “terrorism” to achieve that goal.
Rep. Loretta Sanchez said Muslims seeking a caliphate are willing to use terrorism and violence to impose their views on the Western world.
“We know that there is a small group, and we don’t know how big that is — it can be anywhere between 5 and 20 percent, from the people that I speak to — that Islam is their religion and who have a desire for a caliphate and to institute that in any way possible," Sanchez said on “PoliticKING with Larry King.”
“They are not content enough to have their way of looking at the world, they want to put their way on everybody in the world,” she said. “And again, I don’t know how big that is, and depending on who you talk to, but they are certainly — they are willing to go to extremes. They are willing to use and they do use terrorism.”

It may be true, accurate, and correct. It may also be a career ender for Sanchez. Thus pretty stupid.
