Stupid liberal idea of the day

I was listening to NPR the other day and it talked at length about Trump’s visit and what it hoped to accomplish, and how it could best be accomplished without getting in the way of relief efforts (if he did get in the way of relief efforts, it would not be the first time). No mention of the shoes.

Again: Clot is Pathetic Failure.

Hello, Mr. Clothahump. I don’t know if you read the responses in your thread, but if you do you’ve learned your website lied to you. Here’s what others think about “conservativefighters.com”:

IOW, not only do you get your news from right-wing liars, you pick a site which doctors its stats via cheap auto-clickers in New Guinea!

I think it’s possible, Mr. Clothahump, that you really aren’t as stupid as you seem; that instead you are a victim of #FakeNews. You are a frequent object of ridicule here, but perhaps pity would be more appropriate.

Do yourself a favor: Every time you “learn a new fact,” write down which TV channel or Facebook feed you were on at the time. Don’t be bashful or ashamed — Even if it’s Alex Jones Infowars, write it down!

At the end of a week, post the results here, and we’ll all study them. Look at your list of sources with an open mind, and come up with a plan to be better informed.

You’re welcome.

Gonna have to have some fancy distinctions. “Non-truth” can be something that isn’t so, but doesn’t carry a lot of weight. Say, “Trump plays very good golf” is a non-truth. Who cares? being the definitive distinction of a non-truth. “Un-truth” is false, but mostly an embellishment or “spin”, like “Ivanka has her Dad’s ear, and bends him toward liberal and progressive actions” is un-true.

Then you have nonfactual declarations that do direct and tangible harm. “Trump University will teach you how to get rich in real estate!” This is an example of the “total lying crock of shit”.

You’re welcome. No, really.

Incredibly stupid or congenitally dishonest. Not much of a choice, is it?

Why choose, when you can have the full buffett?

Could someone explain to me what CNN has to do with liberal? CNN is about as basically capitalist and middle of the road as a corporation comes.

We libtards get our marching orders from CNN, were you not aware of that?

This phony display of heroism was meant to placate us, and keep us following the network’s agenda.

ETA: Moved to Stupid SJW idea thread.

I don’t get this whole idea of CNN faking here. If they really wanted to stage a heroic rescue wouldn’t they put a little more effort on it.
He didn’t jump in with a pre-attached invisible cord around him and fought the white waters pulling a innocently hot schoolteacher to the shore.
He just threw a rope to an old, fat and balding white guy. Big deal, he wasn’t in any danger himself.

Then again, Republicans don’t anymore seem to recognize when a job is done incompetently…

Sam Stein tweeted that he wanted to hear from anyone who was a DACA beneficiary who also voted for Trump. No link, because he deleted the tweet for obvious reasons. LOL.

No one got a screenshot of it?

Forgive me if I don’t just take your word for it. It only takes a moment for a tweet to be captured; by the time anyone could reply there should have been four hundred captures to share out how dumb he was.

Who is Sam Stein anyway?

Sam Stein is a the Senior Politics Editor at HuffPost.

Thank you.
Never paid much attention to the site but other people seem to link to it a lot.

I’ve been googling off and on throughout the day to find any other mentions of Stein’s tweet. I would have thought conservative media would be all over a story like this. They don’t seem to be talking about it, though. Maybe they all saw the tweet and just thought, “Meh. Everyone’s entitled to a boneheaded remark every once in a while. Let’s focus our attention on more important matters.” That’s a thing that can happen, right?

Well, I’ll be damned. Stein did apparently tweet out the request, he was taken go task for it by a DACA supporter, and Stein admitted he’d had a “brain fart.” And, apparently he isn’t catching a load of shit over it, because I guess most people really are shrugging it off as an insignificant mistake.

So, I am humbled. I shouldn’t have questioned adaher’s information (although next time a cite would be lovely). Stein’s tweet was a stupid idea, and assuming Stein is a liberal, we have here a real SLIOTD. I hope everyone enjoyed it when it zipped by. You gotta act fast to catch these.

It was never a federal case or anything, just a silly brainfart.

This was not obvious to me, so lemme just state for the record the stupid part: DACA beneficiaries, like all immigrants, cannot vote, so that’s kinda stupid. Kinda embarrassed I didn’t see that immediately, tbh.

Seems unlikely. Alternative hypothesis, which is even more unlikely and uncharitable, but a lot more funny: they didn’t take him to task because it’s in their benefit to have people believing that DACA beneficiaries can vote.

Among the three to five million illegal voters in the last election, some were just bound to be DACA recipients, they go to school!
