I don’t know that anyone said it was stupid. The only time I’ve seen the word is when Niply called me a stupid, pathetic conservative for posting a link to Obama’s statement.
Yes, ok, maybe Niply was a bit stupid. But he does have a point, why did you post something non-stupid about Obama in the Stupid liberal idea of the day thread?
I mean, everyone has a stupid moment from time to time. Obama has very few. But you didn’t even try.
I didn’t say that what Obama said wasn’t stupid. And I didn’t say it was dishonest. Neither omission precludes the possibility however.
If the tri-cornered hat fits.
So why did you post at all? Trolling? If you want to stir a debate, this isn’t the thread for it.
Because he’s the conservative gadfly who mocks the pretensions and foibles of the left. Smart as Sarah Palin, likeable as Ted Cruz, as funny as Dennis Miller.
It’s interesting to note that posting a remark from a liberal president that happens to conflict with certain liberal complaints against business is apparently regarded by you as as trolling.
I merely posted it to suggest from a source they may find credible that their outrage over business critter malfeasance may be misplaced.
Either that, or Obama doesn’t know what he’s talking about, which of course would be stupid, and in line with what the thread is for.
Either way I’m done with this aspect of the thread since the only reaction my revelation of Obama’s declaration has spurred is anger at me for bringing it up in the first place.
Nah, we all knew you were a douchebag before your latest “revelation”.
What about toilet paper tubes - do those fit?
It’s times like this I wish we could “Like” posts here…
But…but…guys! What about what the president said?
Nuthin’?
Figures.
And there he is, President, and there you are, message board troll. Go figure.
And here you are an old, spent hippie going on for the upteenth jillion time about my being a conservative gadfly pricking liberal hypocrisies (not particularly hard to do, btw, like shooting fish in a barrel) despite the fact that what we have going on here is not hypocrisy but conflict between what some liberal and presumably Obama-supporting posters allege and what Obama himself has alleged. Certainly someone in that scenario is wrong, yet here on this message board devoted to fighting ignorance and where admitting one (or another who one supports) is wrong is valued and admired, there seems to be little appetite for trying to determine which argument is correct, with everyone choosing instead to stop posting entirely and ignore the subject, or focus on hurling insults at me.
Hmm…when looked at in that light, maybe there is some hypocrisy that deserves pricking after all.
But I digress. Okay, luce, I’ll play your game. Just exactly what have I done here that meets your definition of trolling?
'Cause from my perspective all I’ve done is post a comment by Obama that runs counter to what some of his supporters here have been claiming, and respond to otherwise unprovoked insults hurled my way.
I’m so glad you’re gonna have less money to spend because Obamacare’s making you pay for poor people to live.
Oh, I’ve been doing that all my life, especially since the late sixties. My money has been spent building houging projects that predictably became cesspools of drug and criminal activity and continual poverty level goverment dependence. My money has been spent paying for an educational system that seems incapable of driving home the difference between there, their and they’re. It’s been spent fighting to keep cruel, evil murderers alive and to spring as many convicts from prison as rapidly and as often as possible. And it’s been spent on efforts to disarm innocent law-abiding citizens who wish to protect themselves from the beneficiaries of all this government largess.
But, being a conservative, I know and accept that the world isn’t perfect and things will never be as I think they should, and that there will be times when I just have to take a hit and get on with life. This is one of those times. And though I know Obamacare is a clusterfuck of indescribable proportions and likely to hurt most the very people you mistakenlybthink I care so little for, it is I who knows that while for many their working hours and therefore their income will be reduced thanks to this idiotic bill, nearly all will find themselves being dinged for mandatory insurance premiums for insurance they can’t use because they can’t afford the deductibles, copays and co-insurance charges.
And then there’s the fact that I have on more than a few occasions spent thousands of my own money in attempts to help people not only less fortunate than myself but in very dire straights from which they may not otherwise have emerged.
So I’m afraid that your glee is misplaced, and that in your assessment of my concern for the welfare of others you are as wrong as you typically are about almost every other thought that wanders into your head.
But I say that in the nicest way possible.
One nicer way would be shorter. Or is that not possible?
So, bereft of the ability to prove your charge that I’m a troll you choose now to re-enter the thread to chide me for the length of a post?
In actuality, it’s really more a matter of the content to value ratio. You post a lot of shit, is all. None of it with any substance, and mostly not even with any semblance of a connection to reality. It’s almost as if the white panel van you troll the neighborhoods with gets nothing but AM radio and is stuck on the station that plays Rush Limbaugh et al.
Ha.
Is The Starving Artist Show already in reruns?
