Random encounters can often leave the most lasting impression. There was one time someone shouted at my aunt, cousins and I to “go back to China.” That was a random encounter. Not on the Internet, but in person, but not much difference. I don’t consider to be something “mundane” and not worth recalling.

Mocking left-loonies and lampooning right-crazies carry different implications, because (as was diligently pointed out to me in another thread) Trump.
The idea is that because our Prez is such a nutbag (and has cozied up to even more bizarre figures like Alex Jones), every fringe right-of-center moron must be taken seriously because they’ve been mainstreamed by Trump’s election. A gross exaggeration no doubt, but with a kernel of truth. As regards left-loonies, well, they’ve been oppressed you know :), so the dynamic is different.
Still, if we can’t fulminate and make fun of idiots from across the political spectrum in the Pit (and even other forums), America is headed straight down the tubes. 
Really? “No True Scotsman” would be saying those accused of being SJWs aren’t actually liberals. I’m not sure if I’ve seen that more than a couple of times in this thread. What I recall seeing is a small number of liberal jerks being dumb and/or assholes in the links (thus perhaps reasonably qualifying for the purpose of the thread, even if I think the SJW moniker is obnoxious and trivializes reasonable concerns about social justice), plus a bunch of accusations of bad behavior for stuff that actually looked pretty reasonable to me.
It’s not that every fringe right-of-center moron needs to be taken seriously, it’s that the fringe right-of-center morons hold political office, have their own show on fox, a radio show, or in other ways have much exposure and following.
The left-loonies for the most part are comments on an obscure blog that no one has ever heard of, or if they are really popular and influential, they have an obscure blog of their own that no one has ever heard of.
Equating the likes of Trump, of Ryan, or even of Limbaugh or Coulter to the likes of, who was that again that posted on some blog about looking foward to “white tears”?, is not in any way an honest argument.
Or they are college professors and administrators and decide what to put in the curriculum. Or they get into influential positions where regulations and laws are made. Or they get into the film industry and ruin Dr Who.
