Chindogu, if you didn’t already know is a kind of “useless invention”, but there are strict rules governing their creation (see: Chindogu Society homepage).
I’ll start with - “Beginner’s swimming goggles”.
These are like normal goggles except that there is a small hole in the glass to let the water in. The idea is that the eyes become accustomed to the chlorine in the water, while keeping the safety of the goggles.
Asian huh. I grew up hearing the word chingaso from members of my dad’s family, which I always took to be mexican slang. I can’t find a proper translation but it was used as one would say como se llama. More lately I’ve heard chingadero which has a really nice ring to it
