Suggest a website to sell stuff on.

I had a complete website on Tripod.
I use it to sell my buttons.

Well, my entire website is now missing.

Was it hacked?
Was it a computer glitch?

who knows?
but the fact that Tripod is giving me the run around is driving me insane.

Me:
I had a complete website on Tripod. All of my files are gone. What happened?

tripod:
You need to create a .html file before a website will show up.

(me: no. really?)

repeat ad nauseum.
They keep telling me stupid stuff like: name your files: index so that they can show up.

(me: I KNOW! BUT MY FILES ARE GONE!!! :mad: )

which leads me to believe that they are deliberatly dancing around the issue that my files are gone.
I mean, how much more in depth can i describe the situation?
I would think a full page would be enough, but I guess not.

But, i digress. I can easily turn this into a rant.

so,

do you recommend a place in which to host my site?
I was paying on tripod and want to have a pay site (i,e one without pop ups)

IMHO, the best webhosting deal is 3-95.com, the numbers in the URL incidentally being the monthly cost. They support everything you could possibly use (at least everything I imagine Tripod would have supported) and are cheap, assuming you don’t use massive bandwidth.

If you have extra sites you want to host, dixiesys.com has similarly affordable reseller packages.

OTOH, did you have a shopping cart and all that cool jazz on your Tripod site?

Depends on how much you want to pay. F2S.com is excellent but I haven’t checked their prices lately.
