Which do you prefere to observe? Why?
Me? I’ve seen sunrises any number of times and they are often serene and give the feeling of having one up on the rest of the world that is just stirring to rise.
But I’ll take a sunset if I must choose one. They are almost always more spectacular in dramatic colours.
Sunset, because foir a sunrise I have to either get up early (Ugh) or stay up late. Which in and of itself isn’t bad, but it means that my sleep schedule will be out of whack, and seeing as I’m not in college anymore, I need a fairly consistant sleep schedule.
I’ve seen very few sunrises, maybe a few when camping pr after an all-nighter. But I’ve seen a lot of sunsets, some of which were quite spectacular to say the least. So it’s sunsets. I’d bet most people will say sunsets.
I usually like the sunrise. My bedroom window is big and faces it so I catch it a lot. It’s been so gloomy out lately I would kill for one tomorrow.
Usually when I see the sunset I’m driving into it and it hurts my eyes. I have a grudge. It’s been pretty rare for me to catch a beautiful sunset when I wasn’t driving.
I might be making a hasty judgment, especially since I’ve probably seen 2 sunrises in my entire life. However, as others have said, sunrises take place at a very inconvenient time and I am definitely a night person.
Heck sunsets are relaxing and they usually take place when your day is winding down. You see a sunrise and you think “geez this is just the beginning of the day !!!”
Sunset. I don’t like light, the time when daylight invades my peaceful life every morning is one of the worst of the day. Sure, sunrises are pretty, but I like light into dark much better than dark into harsh light of day.
Oh, thanks for getting Fiddler On The Roof stuck in my head.
Sunsets are beautiful, but sunrises are rarer for me, and when I’ve seen them, it’s because I’m camping and woken early, or am heading out for something special and big. Sunrises hold promise.
Sunrises are the most spectacular to me. Yes, sunsets have prettier color, but for me the feeling of seeing the whole world rise to life is in its own league entirely. Not to mention that special golden shimmer that sunrises bring.
Sunrises come up about the same time I wake up so I don’t have the sun in my eyes when I need to go to work. However, the sunsetting light, which has the same effect is painful in the winter light.
I’d appreciate sunrises more if they didn’t happen so early.
Like many others, I’m a night person – I’m also a sky person (known to stop and stare at a pretty sky, night or day), so I do love sunsets. I don’t like the idea of being awake early enough for a sunrise, but when I’ve had to be I’ve always appreciated the sight.
I’m a sunrise person. I’m an early riser and a sunrise can set the tone for the day for me. I see both every day lately, since I’m up hours before the sun and still awake when it’s descending. However, it’s been so freeking gloomy lately, that I haven’t actually seen the sun globe in the sky for weeks. I hate that.
I like sunrises. I’m kind of a morning person anyway and I prefer the feeling of peace that’s centered around the sunrise. After all, a whole lot of people aren’t awake yet.
One of my favorite things to do is to get to my hunting spot before dawn and sit and watch the sun come up. You get to hear the world wake up and it starts a day off nicely.
Sunrise for me, when the weather is nice I like to have my first (and second) cup of coffee in the back yard while the first rays of the sun touch the tips of the trees and the birds start coming to the feeder.
