Super Bowl LIX - Game Day

I can’t be the only one who thinks that half-time show sucked out loud. The commercials are pretty good thus far, though.

Wow that was terrible. I had to turn on subtitles. And it still sucked.

Subtitles? If they brought out sign language interpreters, they would be holding Hoovers.

I think that’s was one of the better halftime shows in a while. Not your usual pap.

I was amused by it ending with game over spelled out.

See if the chiefs show up for the second half.

And a whole new meaning to hat head.

I’m not a huge fan by any means. The show was OK. I mean, he came out and performed.

And he did his big hit, got the crowd to say “A Minnnnnnnoooooooor!”

Here we go. 24 more for EAGLES! :eagle:

research! In XXII Elway was replaced by Gary Kubiack in XXII against the Redskins (42-10 and like most Broncos SB’s, it wasn’t really even that close). Jim Kelly of the Bills was injurred in the 2nd quarter in XXVII against Dallas and replaced by Frank Reich who kept it close at 52-17

Can you imagine if the seventh game of the World Series, or NBA or NHL playoffs, took a 30-minute break for some such quasi-entertainment?

That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen all year. Thank you.

Wow, different sports do things differently, who knew?

Rap is completely ill suited to this format. Hip hop can work if it has some pop elements, but rap is no good. And Kendrick is especially bad. Good song writer (I’m told) but not a good vocalist, and he seems violently opposed to melody or harmony.

Best part of the halftime show is Samuel L. Jackson. Kept waiting for him to say “Singing, motherfucker, can you do it?”

ETA: ninja’d a bit…

Eating Mahomes for dinner.

Every year, I hope they just invite “Weird” Al and have the best half-time show ever.

I could read his lips yet I reckon that was part of the joke as his own voice over-dubbed what he was at least mouthing.

The time for that was 20’years ago sadly.

That’s SEVEN sacks so far. And a hit, 4th again.

Stay tuned for the Saquon Show.

That reminds me of the 90’s Eagles. I remember they sacked Troy Aikman and when he stood up they sacked him again!

I readily admit I’m not a fan of rap, but this guy, IMHO, displayed zero talent (is there such a thing as negative talent?) in that field with whatever that was and the scripted interruptions by the guy in the hat (that was Samuel L. Jackson? Did he lose a bet?) were just stupid.
