Marblemouth is saying this delay is fortunate for the 49ers because of momentum, but I’d have to say the team ahead gets a bigger benefit from having a rested defense which is the most significant factor in a comeback. But I guess you can argue that it also allows the losing team’s defense to recharge and force more 3 and outs.
Edit: Which reminds me, I’d like to point out that Shannon Sharpe has, for years, held a job where his main purpose is talking.
