I would suggest that when a team is playing as horribly as San Francisco is, essentially ANYTHING that breaks up the routine of what’s going on has to be seen as a potential life saver.

I suppose it does require you to try to laugh things off to root for a murderer as the face of your franchise. Apparently the only people who think Ray Lewis is a murderer are people with bad spelling (or pronunciation?) and everyone involved with the case.
Ray Lewis is a colossal piece of shit. Lots of NFL players are shit bags too, Ray is in a special class but he’s not unique. However he’s a massive hypocrite and prima donna too. Being a scumbag is one thing, being a scumbag who mugs for the camera and tries to work god into every sentence makes it a million times worse.
Most of the shitbags in the NFL aren’t embraced by their teams and fanbases as the face of the franchise for 15 years. The ravens are fairly unique in their scumminess.
