"SuperDopers"; How do you do it?

It is very easy.

Remove the Oooh, I have nothing to contribute to this thread/board filter out of your brain and commence to verbage spewage.

It works for me.

Look, there are about 10 posters here on average that make any relevant contributions to our little society.

I am not one of them.

Neither are you or anyone else reading this. They are over in GD and GQ flexing their cerebrums. The Show Offs.

Just think of yourself as a one of those street corner prophet types who shout out at the passing cars complete and utter nonsense. Only you & me are better groomed.

It unchecks itself on preview. You have to check it again after.

Back on topic, I have no idea how the SuperDopers do it. I joined on 12/13/2000 and I currently have only 568 posts. That’s around .45 posts / day. The thing is that at the beginning of this year, it was only around 300 posts, but then I started hanging around in MPSIMS more. I was also the smart kid in class, but I feel seriously outgunned around here. Part of it is that I’m better at speaking off-the-cuff than I am at writing.

:smack:

Nope. Still not seeing it.

And for those who are counting – this is my fifth post in this thread.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Same exact deal here.

Cisco, I had noticed you were around a bit more lately, hope it stays like that.

I just had to post to see my current post count.

Sort of exemplifies my typical post doesn`t it?

I have been posting more since I switched to DSL two months ago. Like Johnathan Chance, I’m the most well- read and enlightened person in my group of people; I won’t say most intelligent because some of them are smart but haven’t had as much education. But when I come here I’m intimidated by the quick wit and highly educated discussions that occasionally happen.

I’m not the quickest guy to make a comeback when insulted; if I feel that someone is being hostile to me I take it very personally. Watching some of the other posters deal with this type of situation is helping me overcome this shortcoming- just look at the bashing some posters take on a daily basis.

Hell, I’m doing OK if I post once a day. My post count reflects this.

Ogmen, to this one!
That’s why my husband calls me Sensitiva!

It also helps to post just to chime in and agree with what’s already been said.
+1!

Well, having 180 days off a year helps.

For me, it seems to be an accelerating process. 6 months ago I was at 200 some odd posts. I kinda feel like Robert Downey, Jr. in Air America: “Back home, I was always the weirdest one in the room. Now I come over here and discover that I’m not even in the Top Ten.” I am determined to climb into the Top 50 at least. This is my quest.

You have the ‘sig’ feature disabled in your thingamabob.

I can’t help but feel that we’re building to a dreadful anticlimax here.

Nope, went to user CP, checked “show signature,” checked “show signature” here – what’s a girl got to do?

This is absolutely the last try. If this doesn’t work, none of you will ever see me again. Not in this thread, anyway.

Okay, here’s what I now know – you have to go to “edit options,” check “show signature,” check “save changes” ( :smack: ), then check “show signatures” for the particular post. This will go back and add the signature any place you’d checked “show signatures” for a post.

I’m guessing that if I don’t check “show signatures” here, it won’t show on this particular post.

I have an uneasy suspicion that this has been covered over in ATMB or somewhere…

Eh.

I’m not.

:dubious:

FTR, I’ve seen your sig on every post since this one, #43. I think you may have a screw loose, yes?

No, once I fixed the settings, it went back and inserted the sigs everywhere I’d tried to insert them. :smack:

Of course, I guess that doesn’t really address the issue of whether or not I have a screw loose – after all, 474 posts in one thread…
