What was the deal with young Dean? I could see the resemblance between Kelly Brock and Jensen Ackles, but I’d rather they’d have found an actor who looked less like him, and could, you know, act. He was terrible, and I was disapointed in all of his scenes. The “I’m a hero” scene could have been good, but it was way over the top.
Other than that, I liked it pretty well. The whole, “things get better after high school,” message was clearly intended to appeal to their demographic (of which I suppose I’m not) but I thought it was a good one, and the final scene between Sam and his teacher was well done. On another note, what is it about guys getting kicked in the balls that’s so funny? It obviously hurts a lot, and it’s not like it was in the middle of a funny scene, but I still laughed and said, “Oh, she nailed Sam!”
No dedication to Kim Manners? Seriously?
