All the psychics who live in the same town are being killed off by an unknown entity.
About 5 minutes for the brothers to be back together.
Figures they’d be drawn to the same place to do a job.
Some funny stuff here to balance the usual tension, and some good dialogue.
What is up with next week’s ep?
Anybody?
I don’t remember the preview, so I don’t know what’s up with next weeks ep.
As for this weeks, kinda silly how fast they were back together, but whatever, that’s the show, them working together.
I did think it was a little obvious that the other sister was going to be the killer ghost.
Those Campbell “brothers” they were looking at in the museum, possible distant relatives on mom’s side?
Shame they never brought up how Sam himself used to be psychic. Think it would’ve come up at least in passing.
I’m glad they got back together so quickly. Every time they’ve split up before, we had to endure several episodes of angst before things got back on track. Who needs that?
The Fox sisters were based on the real-life Fox sisters, who began the whole 19th century craze for mediums, ectoplasm, table-rappings, and all the other hokum of Spiritualism. One of the sisters confessed in later years that the whole thing had been a hoax and demonstrated just how the girls managed to produce the spirit rapping, etc.
This is why it is pointless to break them up in the first place. Honestly, we’ve done this already.
There’s very little this show hasn’t done twice already - that being said - this episode (sans brotherly drama at the beginning) is one of the reasons I liked Supernatural in the beginning - ghost/legend of the week with some fun thrown in.
and I’m sorry - every single cop they walked up to would have been drawing down on the brothers - they would not have been able to walk so freely this soon after last weeks stuff. yes, I know they addressed it with the one woman in the resturaunt, but - they should have had to wear “hello, my name is ‘not those guys, yes, we look like them, but its not us - really’” signs.
Teaser for the upcoming ep. makes it appear that Sam is getting married. Got to be an alternate Trickster world or something, right?
Or he’s under a spell “Buffy style”.
It’s called:
Season Seven, Time for a Wedding!
Don’t worry. His wife will be dead by the end of the episode, just like every girl who sleeps with Sam.
