It was pretty good for an episode with the angels/demons theme (it’s no secret that I hate those). I do like the young John and Mary characters. I can’t say that I’d be sorry to see Anna (or at least her teeth) gone permanently.
I do think Anna is now dead, which is amusing only because Julie McNiven told people at some con recently that Anna WASN’T going to die, so some of the fangirls are indignant that she lied to them. Ha.
I don’t really buy that actor as young John Winchester, but I stopped caring when he started channeling Michael. Um, yes. Young Mary is fantastic, though. The scene where Sam and Dean start begging her to leave John and not let them be born was so heartbreaking.
I think/hope Anna and Michael are wrong/are lying about all of the destiny crap, but I think my own loathing of the concept of destiny is coming into play. I still think Sam and Dean have free will. I really have no idea where they are headed now!
