Sam goes nuts from Lucifer’s presence inside him; Dean wants help and gets it from a healer with an old friend’s appearance.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah…
CASTIEL’S BACK IN THE MO-FO HOUSE, YO!!!
Sort of.
Oh, I guess that’s it, then. Got rid of Castiel, for the most part, and cured Sam. How disappointing.
Cas’s fix didn’t really make sense (if he could take the memory of the cage or whatever to the get the hallucinations, then why can’t he just erase the memory), but whatevs, it was nice to see him again anyway. Too bad his wife’s gonna have to just wonder forever where he is now.
Who was Dean planning to call when the demons attacked him in the mini-mart? Bobby’s dead, Sam was in the booby hatch presumably not allowed to use the phone, and conspiracy guy is missing/presumed dead. So who’s left to call? Random hunter guy that turned him onto Emmanuel?
And why is Meg still calling herself Meg Masters? Sure, I get calling herself Meg around the boys, since that’s how they know her, but still using the identity to get a job at the nutfarm? Meg Masters was the name of the girl she was possessing back when she was first introduced, why not use the identity of whatever meatsuit she’s in now for the job? (yeah, real world explanation it’s for the viewer’s benefit and doesn’t make any less sense than Lucifer still showing up in his meatsuit in Sam’s mind)
I may sound overly critical, but I still enjoyed the episode, I just wanted to say some things.
fun episode. they found a way to save a fan fave character in Cas but cut him from the full time cast (budget reasons perhapse?) i see Cas “re-directing” that bad mojo onto some big bad later on.
and after that bit with dean and the wallet bobby is so badly a ghost. and im calling his bloody trucker hat being the item thats keeping him tethered with the brothers. i doubt they tossed it.
I think it was more than just a memory of Lucifer. I think it was part of Lucifer. Somehow Sam knew about that girl’s past. I’m pretty sure the staff didn’t tell him. Sam hasn’t used his psychic powers for at least 2 seasons and they didn’t even include mind reading.
Most enjoyable episode in years, although many elements of the plot could have been better thought out.
Seems like a terrible idea to let Lucifer into Castiel’s mind – Cas seems so weak-minded, I wonder if Lucifer can somehow take possession of him or otherwise manipulate him.
I might be mis-remembering - wasn’t Sam always supposed to be Lucifer’s ‘vessel’ - and thus the episode the other nite where Sam ‘let him in’ was, in fact, allowing Lucifer to take control.
If so - then xan is correct - that is Lucifer - not just a memory or a haunting, but Lucifer himself.
And maybe they could actually use his help …
I thought someone (Cas or maybe Crowley) already confirmed Luci was still in the cage.
Was the actress who played Meg somebody’s wife/mistress/girlfriend/sister/daughter? Because she was absolutely awful.
Rachel Miner has played Meg since last season.
Apparently she’s been taking steroids due to a back injury which has left her with a swollen looking face. Don’t know if it also explains the monotone acting. She was definitely more animated last year.
I wondered why she was so puffy.
