Supernatural 5/14

Same here. I was screaming at the screen, “You don’t belive it! DON’T BELIEVE IT, SAM!”

Yeah, I’m really looking forward to Sam and Dean working together through their problems. My main concern is, how can you have comedy episodes during the apocalypse? I love comedy episodes!

Eh. I thought she served her purpose. She was devious, and until about 2/3rds of the way through the season, I really thought she was a good guy. It was her time to go, but she went out well.

I don’t think he’ll be human (he’d have to be a baby if he fell), but since he’ll be hiding, he’ll have a lot more free time on his hands. I’m wondering if he’s going to take up hunting with the boys. Maybe he’ll consider sinning!!!

PS: You don’t have to worry about the slasher being encouraged. They need no encouragement. Dean and Cas will be slashed, just as Sam and Dean will be slashed, just John and Bobby will be slashed, just as Impala and Dean will be slashed. Such is fandom. I was a big Sam/Ruby rooter, though (so there was a little part of me sad to see her go.)

Anna’s okay. I think she works better with Castiel than with Dean, but maybe that’s just me. I’ve liked (to some degree) almost all of the women on the show, so I certainly wouldn’t mind another introduced. I doubt Sam and Dean will pair up with anyone by the end of the series, but I like the sexual tension the guys have with women, especially Sam.

Oh yeah, you’ll note I said even more. I wouldn’t say that I’m in the fandom, but I’m kinda obsessed with observing the fandom. I can’t seem to stop myself! It’s like a trainwreck of crazy! What can I say, I majored in anthropology and their behavior is fascinating to me. I love Misha Collins and his fandom-trolling so much.

They will find a way to make funny episodes. I don’t know how, but they’ll do it. I also lurve the funny episodes.

Hey, they came up with Ghostfacers when Dean was counting down the days 'till hell. Of course they’ll do it.

Speaking of which, I had the Ghostfacers song stuck in my head earlier today. SO ANNOYING.

GhostFACERS, GhostFACERS…

Stay in the kitchen when the kitchen gets HOT!

Was that an “Another World” crack that Dean made about “Zack and Cass”"?

I don’t know if we’ll see Castiel next season - he was last seen facing off against the archangels over the Prophet Chuck, remember.

So, Dean started it, and Sam made it happen. I guess neither of them has much of a moral high horse to stand on.

By the way, is it just me, or is the Prophet Chuck fairly easy on the eyes, too? And a suggestion for the “Supernatural” drinking game - drink every time someone slashes their hand or arm.

Misha Collins has said he’s signed on to do the next season, but he also said he wasn’t clear on whether or not he’d be playing Castiel. In retrospect, of course he already knew what that scene would look like and must also be wondering if Castiel could come out of that alive.

Moreso - Misha’s signed on as a regular. And I’d be shocked if he was playing anyone other than Castiel. Castiel is, save for Sam and Dean, the most popular character on the show right now.

Right, because there are so many other characters to compete with. This show has to have the smallest cast of any TV show I have ever watched. Now that Ruby’s dead (HA), the only other character is Bobby. And everyone loves Bobby.

Okay, well, he’s still really, really well liked. No way are they ditching him.

For the record, my sister doesn’t like Bobby, and thinks he’s one of the most
overrated characters on television.

I don’t know why I was so excited lol this was all set up. I guess I have to hold my breath til September for the real action to begin. Interesting that they have gone with a ‘God has left the building’ scenario. I wonder if Dean and Sam will find a way to bring God back into the equation so his jerkass angels stop screwing everything up. So the angels and demons were in on it together - they both want an apocalypse so they can wipe each other out. Or maybe the angels want to wipe the demons out and the demons just want chaos. The angels generally seem much more powerful but until recently haven’t wanted to be in the game too much. What better things did they have to do? The real question is, why do the angels need Lucifer and an apocalypse as an excuse to wipe out the demons? They could have been fighting them all along!

My guess is that they just wanted it this way because they’re a bunch of protocol-bound dicks. This is what’s prophecied (Firefox says I’m misspelling that, how else should I spell it?), so this is what they’re going to do. I doubt it would occur to them to just go to earth and fuck around with humans like demons do because they’re above all of that.

I know that a lot of fans are upset about the religiosity of this storyline, but I don’t mind, since the angels have turned out to be just as bad as the demons.

I believe it’s “prophesied” and I know that doesn’t make much sense given the spelling of “prophecy” but since when does anything regarding religion have to make much sense?

On a side note, when it was said that “God has left the building,” (and here I’m gonna do a full nerd reveal) I thought, “Where’s Jesse Custer when you need him??”

I had a pretty good laugh when Dean and Cas walk into the Author’s house while he is ordering hookers.

Author: “You’re not supposed to be here. You’re not even in this story.”

Cas: “Well, we’re kinda making it up as we go along.”

Dean: :dubious:   :smack:

No. It was a reference to a Disney show called “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” If Dean doesn’t have to explain why he is familiar with that show, neither do I.

I’m happy with the way it ended. I thought for sure they’d put off the end of the world, but they didn’t. That rocks! Next season should be something else. And I’m not sad to see Ruby go. I loved the actress that played Ruby I but Ruby II was annoying and ruined the character for me.

So I have a question: did I miss something along the way or did they really never say either way over the past two seasons if this Lilith was supposed to be the real Lilith? They didn’t seem to really alude to any of the “real” figure’s aspects, so I’m wondering if she was just coincidentally named after the figure in Judaism.

Based on the way Azazel was talking about her with Lucifer, I’d guess so.

Well, I’ve never seen a second of that show, but I got the reference. I think I’ve seen it scroll by on the TV Guide channel.

Still, this is DEAN. He doesn’t know who Mary freaking Poppins is. That was a weird reference.

He’s got his own taste in pop culture, obviously, judging by his repeated references to Sam as “Haley Joel” in previous seasons (when they only thought he was having premonitions). So maybe he just was so busy watching out for Sam and hunting with Dad that he missed out on the classics, but he’s aware of more recent stuff.

Of course that breaks down a bit with the music, but you could argue that he just learned to love the music that Dad played while they were driving around hunting.

Yeah, he probably sits around in motel rooms a lot, channel surfing and wondering where Sam is.
