Supernatural--Season Finale (open spoilers)

I can live with that, and it’s what I suspect they meant… would’ve been nice had the affects used been a little different… IOW, they intended us to fully believe that the Demon had died (ala Meg) and then the swerve at the end… they could’ve had a line between sons and dad "is that it?, not sure sam, he just left… he’s hurt tho’… otherwise, the ending becomes way to slasherish where you can never kill the baddie.

just sayin…

So good to see I am not alone! I kept feeling like I was hiding a dark secret from my IMDB friends…but I love this show! So silly, but I keep watching.

Loved the ending, keeps you guessing as to how the new season will unfold. Good stuff!

I really, really hope that they reveal that DaddyDemon and his kids are a special case, in that they’re seemingly able to possess anyone, anywhere. If it turns out that any run-of-the-mill demon can do that, John and the boys are screwed. They’ll never be able to trust anyone, especially since at least some of the demons are pretty much immune to holy water.

I kept wondering why the demons didn’t just possess Sam and Dean. The guys wouldn’t have stood a chance.

I love this show! I’ve especially like the music - that past few episodes have been moving because of well chosen music.

bobkitty,
I read this and jumped for joy - now I know I’m not the only one who thinks this!

I thought *everybody * thinks that. Aren’t we *supposed * to?

Well, my husband told me I was crazy when I mentioned my thoughts regarding the two having ‘chemistry’ and sharing ‘longing looks’ so I had thought it was only me!

(But, then, the two books on his night table are Dean Koontz and L.Ron Hubbard, so maybe I shouldn’t listen to his opinions anyway).

Me, too…I’m sure that I haven’t managed to catch every episode this season, but on no less than three separate occasions I have heard music by RUSH in this series.

That’s pretty phenomenal, even if you’re not a fan of the band (which I am, so it’s even cooler).

Amen to that.

Hell, yes; that’s one of the things that have gotten me to keep watching the show. I also would have liked an episode where they do a whole engine rebuild on the Impala, but alas, looks like that sweet gas-guzzler is toast. On the other hand, this opens the door for the possibility of continuing the show in a – that’s right – in a Hemicuda.

The characters have gradually grown on me; I think it would help the show, though, if both those pretty boys started showing the permanent, somewhat disfiguring scars they should have by now. It would emphasize the barriers between them and any kind of normal life; just being regular people really isn’t an option for them anymore.

I like the demon-killing gun as a plot element. Magic weapons are a staple of mythology, folklore and fantasy fiction. The mythical quality of a weapon seems to be inversely proportional to its modernity. For instance, an ancient sword endowed with mystical properties of either virtue or evil is somehow more appealing than a magical Mac 10. A 19th century long-barreled six-shooter, on the other hand, while a gun, has that Old West mystique. I don’t even like guns, but I’ve fired a replica 1880’s single-action Colt (using .44 magnum rounds), and have to admit that Mr. Colt made some beautiful weapons.
