Yeah, when my daughter recommended it, we started from the beginning. I really didn’t get parts of it like Cheyenne and Beau, and I was uncomfortable w/ Amy’s marriage. But those concerns pretty quickly were overcome by the good stuff.
I love the little vignettes between scenes, of goofy shopper/employee behavior - only slightly exaggerated representations of what you can encounter in any store.
I’ve been watching it on Hulu. The first few episodes were a little uneven, but the show has really hit its stride and I’m enjoying it.
I like that it’s filmed in a real store, and the producers have put a lot of effort into background detail (like the signs plugging Cloud 9’s rewards program, and the posters in the employee breakroom).
Agreed, my husband, the teenager and I watch it together and enjoy it. It’s a fun show to just kick back and enjoy. We love the characters and the fact that some of the time they just don’t care about being politically correct. We laugh out loud every week.
I really love this show. Every single member of the cast is great, and the scripts are full of the kind of humor that comes from character, not just from situations.
I’m glad to see other people started liking the show too! Dina and Garrett’s relationship cracks me up. I’m interested in seeing where they’ll go with it.
I like it because it’s one of those shows I can put on late at night and fall asleep to, or finish if it’s holding my interest. There’s a few like that. American Housewife, Speechless, Fresh off the Boat and a few others. I wouldn’t miss it but it’s cute and the characters are somewhat endearing.
I like it. They tried advertising as “The Office, but in a store” and it’s close but not quite there. I do like the two main characters and the little asides that they show with the goings on in the store. I didn’t realize that the manager was Mark McKinney until I read this thread and my first reaction was “Oh, he got so big.” And now I feel shame.
I’d call myself a fan. I watch it on Hulu. I’m a cord cutter so I don’t usually watch anything that can’t be streamed. Here’s the thing though; I have two levels of shows. The really good ones must be reserved for watching with my wife. Then there is a 2nd tier of shows that she doesn’t mind if I watch them without her (or she would PREFER I watch them without her). This is one of those 2nd tier shows. The show is good enough, but could definitely be better.
