Surface-10/24

I guess I’m gonna have to be the offical Surface thread-starter-guy if this keeps up.

I keep thinking the glowing jellyfish should be familar but I can’t remember anything about it. Anyone want to remind me? Or is it new?

The shadowy government guys are really bad at securing buildings. They let Sing get out of an apparently top secret facility with some classifed stuff(And what did he back into?), and then they don’t even notice when Rich and Laura walk right into the building they were apparently ransacking. Christ, Jack Bauer could have secured the house better then that by himself.

The parents of the kid have a legit camplaint, but they’re going about it the wrong way. Instead of the logical arguement("Your lizard is possibly dangerous and chewed a hole in the ceiling, Mom and Dad go for, “You’re too old to have lizard”(those thing have an age limit? Are they like care bears?).

Can we have some of the characters being less stupid for a change?

I watched this episode, but I can’t remember anything about it. That’s not a good sign.

Well, the network sure fooled me this time. They said someone would die and I figured it would be poor old Singh, then Cirko gets run over and I thought okay, he’s dead. Then they show him in the hospital and I thought “well, I guess he will still die”. Then Singh goes through his whole escape deal and I keep thinking he’s going to die but no! he gets away!. Then he dies. :frowning: Then we find out that Cirko died too. So two people died. Two people that were actually doing the research. I wonder if that means we will get no more hints or looks at other creature activity and it will just be a show about the 3, I mean 4 “Fugitives”?

Anyway, I still like the show. My problem is that I have to watch on a small TV and I miss too much. I need to get cable so my big TV is more useful than just for watching DVD’s.

I was practically cheering Miles on when he took off with Nim. His parents (mom in particular) and his nasty sister drove him away.
I’m still interested but they need to show that leviathan more often.

Are any of the characters not stupid? I came upon it halfway through (my BIL was watching) and in a short period of time I saw a kid act overly protective of what is obviously a monster, I saw a whole team of badass secret Op guys who managed to ransack a house but not notice a huge pickup truck coming up the driveway, and I saw some alleged scientist person behave like an utter ninny (which appears to be default mode for Lake Bell). Good god this was dumb.

I’ll give it another week and then I’m dropping it if it doesn’t get better. Maybe just get ready for Season 4 of 24 to hit DVD.

Or get ALIAS or something like that.
