FWIW, The Wife and I think that Rupert’s tirade on Jon was under his control at all times. Standard behavioural conditioning / brainwashing technique. Make the target know that you are furious with him and then forgive him, allowing him to rejoin the family / tribe after a transgression.
Rupert probably learned to do this when trying to reach his troubled teens.
Rupert has a huge target painted on his back, but no one wants to be the one to first face him down. That is why they didn’t pile up the coconuts during this week’s IC. They need him to not win immunity; they are afraid to deny him immunity.
Otherwise, I really wish he wins. He gives hope to all us pudgy hairy guys.
I agree. It cracked me up when some people soured on Rupert for yelling at Jon like he’s some big, dumb oaf who flipped out and tried to intimidate Jon. Rupert is the savviest player in this Survivor and I don’t think he’s done anything on pure impulse.
There hasn’t been a change in the logo. “Pearl Islands” is inside the oval logo. “Panama” is below the oval logo. This is the way it’s been since they revealed the logo at the finale from last season.
I’m looking at the current logo on the CBS website right now. The one I saw looked very different than this one. Are they showing a different one from the one on their site during the commercial breaks? The one I saw for that brief moment had “PANAMA” inside the oval in big yellow letters, without any mention of “Pearl Islands.”
and if no one objected to him stealing like a pirate, they shouldn’t in this case; since bullying his minions into following his orders and not going into open mutiny would conform to pirate culture.
For what is it worth. Next season is currently filiming right now in Pananama (once again). It will be an all-star season…

Lissa, I saw the logo and noticed it as well. I thought it was odd. I was on the phone with my girlfriend and we both said, “PANAMA?” together. You’re not crazy!
