Are we all sure that the jury was aware that they were voting FOR the person they want to win, not AGAINST?
p.s. Am I the only one who cannot see the appeal of Heidi, even ‘all cleaned up?’ I mean, look at that hair, it’s freaky. It might be because I’m a girl but seriously! Why her?
Matt was truely deserving. He was honest, he was hard-working, he was a freaking SURVIVOR.
Jenna on the other hand was a manipulator, a whore, a waste of space and yet she got the win? how puzzling.
This is how I see it.
The men were too jealous of Matt, so they ended up being bitter and throwing the vote to Jenna.
Deena, the hardcore feminist in disguise, couldn’t vote a guy to win the million.
Christy, surprisingly voted for Jenna for most likely the last 2 immunity wins. She at least got over the fact that voting for someone you despise isn’t a factor. She voted for the most deserving, well in her mind that is.
Butch, the only one to see how I did, and voted for Matt. Even being backstabbed by him. Wasn’t bitter and was decent enough to make it a 6 to 1 vote.
And somehow, I get this feeling that the last IC/TC was rigged for Jenna to win… Anything that deals with balance on a sliver of wood, is purely in the advantage of a female contestant. In basic physiology, they have their center of gravity closer to “ground”. That’s one bullshit IC/TC in my opinion. They have to stop the balancing challenges, unless it’s a competition of the same gender. Utter bullshit final IC/TC…
When I think back on this season of Survivor, you know what I immediately think of? Matt busting his ass hauling wood and fishing non-stop and Jenna sitting on her skinny little ass and whining about how everyone hates her 'cause she’s beautiful. Not to mention being part of the idiotic little faction that refused to work because they had it all sewn up.
People are stupid. Jesus, I would vastly prefer Evil Rob to win over this vapid woman. At least Matt has his car and 100k.
PS: Matt doesn’t look nearly as evil once he got cleaned up. I think I preferred him evil, however.
I’m dumbfounded. But then I thought it was a stupid move for Matt to throw the imunity challenge. A big mistake that probably cost him the game. Too bad it went in Jenna’s favor.
Oh man, I was laughing out loud at that, too! Too freaking funny! Heidi standing there with an expectant look at Jenna, Jenna not saying anyone else, and Jeff saying “I think they covered it. Let’s move on.”
To echo everyone else, I’m in shock. I saw nothing at all in Jenna that made me consider her a contender: No hard work, no active playing of the mental game, etc. The only thing that I could see was the winning of immunity, but that was thrown on at least one occasion. Somebody convince me that there was something (besides pity) that allowed her to win.
I was really pissed. But then, the more I thought about it, the more I noticed a change in Jenna that I think the editing captured. She seemed to blossom into a respectable maturity toward the end. All in all, it seems justified that the one who grew the most is the one who got the prize.
Well, at least they didn’t have that pumpkin headed host, Rosie O’Donnell do the post show.
I hated Jenna too, but in the end, I have to give her credit for figuring out a way to win. First, she got far by simply being less of a threat than anyone. When it came down to her and Heidi, she made sure Heidi was perceived as a bigger threat, which is not an easy feat.
When it came down the final two challenges, she figured out the maze (forget the instructions, just follow a wall and use your sense of direction to traverse to all 4 poles) and the balancing (fake weakness, say “oh my ankle” to get the others to overthink, meanwhile zen out and let time pass in a blink). These were not gimmes, since Matt could’ve won the maze and Rob a fairly good shot at the balancing.
Jenna is very fortunate. She won the genetic lottery already, and she was extremely lucky on the show. But she deserves respect for coming up with a winning strategy even when she was down. Choosing Matt and saying she wants to compete with the best was a successful ploy. In actually, she chose Matt because she has an edge in charisma over Matt, but not Rob.
I think the problem this season was that we had the world’s most vapid jury.
Heidi’s a genius? Then why why why didn’t she follow up on Jenna’s answer about Rob needing to be there? You think Rob should be there more than you? Do you think you deserve it more than Matt? So Rob deserves is more than Matt? So why’d you take Matt?
Matt would have won easily with any of the previous seasons’ juries. This one was just full of knuckleheads.
And by the way, if Heidi has genuis-level intelligence, I feel like a freakin’ mountaintop guru. Call Parade Magazine and tell 'em if Marylin Vos Savant needs a holiday I can take over!
