Worst Survivor Winner Ever (SPOILERS)

While Vecepia certainly seems undeserving as a winner due to:
-her initial laziness
-her floating along rather than being a strong player
-and winning because the jury had the hurt feelings of a 3rd grader

I would have to say Jenna is the worst winner ever. Why?
-Lazy, lazy lazy - How many shots did we see of her doing nothing? If she thought she was in the majority alliance, she did nothing because she felt safe. If she was in the minority alliance, she did nothing, because she thought she was going home.
-She was actually mean in regards to Christy. Granted, these people don’t have to like each other, but she made little effort to know Christy
-My dream for Survivor: If, at any point, a person says they wish they could quit or go home or be done or that they give up, Probst appears and says “Wish granted. You want to quit, you are out of here.” Whiny and weak does not a Survivor make.

Of course, when it comes down to it, shame on the juries for poor voting tactics. I have yet to hear or read a singly sensible answer as to why Jenna was so deserving.

I may be taking this slightly too seriously.

I completely agree Mullinator!! I did not hear a sensible response grace her lips the entire time she was out there. And her blatent meaness to Christy pissed me off to know end.

And what was up with Heidi saying, “…I love you girl…I adore you …I am freakishly inlove with everything you are…” blah, blah, blah bull-crap… ??

I am soooo ticked off she won. I turned the TV off immediately. And for the Host to say, it was the biggest landslide in Survivor history? Crap, pure unadulterated crap!

Why the landslide? I didn’t stay to watch?

I totally agree.

My dream would be that no one is allowed to say “He/she doesn’t need the money” ever again. I hate when someone brings up that fact. No one is supposed to be there for the money, although that is a big factor. It’s a strategic game. You’re playing a game that just happens to have a really big prize. Whe you start throwing around need or lack thereof, it really pisses me off.

And at the final TC, the one with the jury questions, the questions have to be about the game. No more “pick a number” or “who’s your favorite world leader” type of questions.

I agree. I mean did you see Jenna faulter on that Q?

I was thinking to myself when she tried to answer…Damn she can’t think of any world leaders…

Semi-good comeback with saying her mom though.

There are two Survivor seasons I missed: the first one, and the one with Vacepia (I only watched the first two episodes and lost interest). So I can’t compare Jenna with V. But I could not imagine a more undeserving winner.

The only possible rationale I can come up with is that the jury figured that Matt rode Rob to F3 and wouldn’t have lasted without him – which may be true. Jenna, perhaps, was seen as a leader of the “cute alliance” and later the “popular alliance.” Matt was on the edge of elimination a couple of times and either won immunity or got lucky when someone else screwed up, and stayed in the game.

I’m not saying I agree with this AT ALL – Matt was far more deserving that that spoiled brat. He had a better attitude, he worked harder, we was nicer to people, he was a better athlete. I’m just trying to come up with a rational explanation from the jury’s point of view.

Best moment: Heidi’s “is there anyone else [who deserves to be there]?” Hahahahahahaha!

The final vote total was 6-1, the largest victory in Survivor history. Only Butch voted for Matt.

Jenna is a bitch. I hope she is reading this now. Maybe she can buy some brains and a solid work-ethic with her new-found fortune.

I also turned off the TV immediately after the announcement.

And you are telling me that Christy voted for Jenna??? I guess she thought Jenna played the game better than Matt. I wonder how those jury members feel after coming home and being able to watch the show as it unfolded. I bet some votes would be different. “Fat cow” (Deena, not my words, I love her) might want
to reconsider.

I think that Matt was a lot smarter than people realized. And he looked a lot better on the post-show, without those razor-sharp cheekbones sticking out.

I’m a woman, but I am not proud of the woman who won Survivor.

Mullinator, dude, the word you’re looking for is “SPOILER”. Try using that in your thread titles in the future instead of posting the name of the winner. Thanks.

Good god, that’s another Survivor ruined for me :frowning: Thanks for the spoiler

For the record, it can’t be confirmed that Jenna was referring to Deena and not Dave with that comment. Dave was the one eating the food, Deena was the one on the camera with Jenna’s voice-over. In fact, on the recap episode, it was Dave who said in a video confessional that he felt sorry for eating more food when he got back to camp, especially considering Jenna’s comment.

**Countries outside the States run suvivor aswell you know. The tribes haven’t even split over here and now I know the winner. Thanks. **

Mullinator, get your spoiler posting ass to the pit.

Something you have to remember is that we are only seeing about 45 minutes out of every 72 hours that passes for the participants. We don’t know what was going on during that other 71 hours and 15 minutes. The fact that (almost) everyone voted for Jenna and against Matt certainly implies that either a) Jenna had done more to impress the Jury than we saw or b) Matt had done more to tick them off.

I saw a comment once that said “The camera doesn’t lie but editing tells the story.” We saw what Mark Burnette wanted us to see. Since he wants the ending to be a surprise, he probably showed us as many clips as he could that portrayed Jenna in a negative light. That way, the ending is more of a shock. Given the way the Jury voted, I would have to say that what we saw probably wasn’t representative of her actions during the entire time.

(Credit where it’s due: the quote above is by one of the Team Guido members (forgot which one) from the first Amazing Race, but is probably appropriate for Survivor too.)

I edited the thread title to minimize the damage. Mullinator, please be careful about spoiling other people’s fun will ya?

Even if it is about a crap show like Survivor.

Why would anyone come into a Survivor thread if they were even slightly worried about getting some advanced info they didn’t want to know? Maybe I’m not familiar with all the rules, but it seems std practice to not worry about spoilers once the show finishes on Pacific Time in many of the other threads.

The problem is that the spoiler was in the thread title (previous title before Coldy fixed it was “Worst Survivor Winner Ever: Vecepia or Jenna?”), which is seen on the main forum page. Everyone wanting to avoid Survivor spoilers would then have to stay out of Cafe Society altogether, not just avoid Survivor threads. See?

I must admit I love Survivor, at least the first few seasons anyway. I was about at the point of no longer watching it, but this season was actually very good. I do think it’s a shame that such a great competition ended with such a poor winner.

I think Jenna and Heidi were two who in no way deserved to win. Talking about how pretty you are and sitting on your butt the whole time should in no way entitle you to win. At no point did I see either of them working toward any kind of strategy. Rob played the best game by far. Even though I couldn’t stand him, I think he was deserving to win. If not him, at least Matthew. Matt did work extremely hard and won so many of the challenges. I’m still stunned over the winner. I can’t believe everyone voted for her, especially Christy. Did Christy ever say WHY she voted for her instead of Matt??? or Deena??

“the spoiler was in the thread title (previous title before Coldy fixed it was “Worst Survivor Winner Ever: Vecepia or Jenna?”),”

Jadis:

Oh! Never mind…

If I were looking for a causal relationship, I’d look more at who controlled Congress. Presidents really can’t do that much.

Obviously that was posted in the wrong thread…
