Worst Survivor Winner Ever (SPOILERS)

Least. Deserving. Winner. Ever.

Jenna

Christie’s reply was, “Well, she outwitted, outplayed and outlasted me. <shrug>” When Jeff pointed out that so did Matt, Christie’s answer was that she’d been in the game with Jenna since the beginning and only with Matt since the middle, so she felt Jenna outplayed her the longest. It made no freaking sense to me whatsoever, but there you go.

For the life of me I can’t figure out Deena’s motivation, other than it boilded down to a “girls against the boys” thing that the producers were obviously hoping for.

Rob’s vote is still a complete mystery to me. Especially after how Jenna, in particular, treated him the last 6 - 9 days. She was downright nasty and hateful. All I can come up with is that he felt that she got there by “playing” and Matt got there on his coattails, therefore she deserved it more than Matt.

The whole thing makes me completely ill. She is a vile creature undeserving of a swift kick in the ass, let alone a million dollars and the title “Survivor”. She was a lazy, self-centered, mean, nasty, horrible, whory, fucking bitch.

IF the producers purposefully had the editors portray more of her bitchiness and less of whatever it was that caused the jury to vote against Matt in order to make the end more of a surprise, thinking it would entice more viewers for next season, they were sadly mistaken. Very, VERY bad move. I am SO never watching another episode of this crapfest.

The thing is, when I watch a show like this – especially when they manipulate me to like certain contestants over others – there’s an emotional investment in seeing what would be considered a fair outcome. There’s absolutely no joy or excitement for me that this fucked up twit won. It was a COMPLETE let-down.

And when it’s the same thing season after season, that’s when it’s time to say, “enough is enough.” I don’t invest my time and interest in things that continually make me disappointed and angry over and over again. Doing so would be pure masochism and I’m simply not into that.

If there was better of footage of Jenna that her fellow contestants saw that caused them to vote for her, then they damn well should’ve showed us that, at least in addition to the bad stuff, so that while we might’ve loathed some of her actions, she could have been another “love to hate” contestant, much like Rob.

However, there was a brief snippet of an interview with Jeff Probst after the post show where he said that when he came back with the urn of votes, he was sure Matt had won. I really think this vote shocked him as much as it did the rest of us.

Honestly, I don’t think any “nice” footage of Jenna exists. I think this jury was just fucking stupid, and, just as they had hoped, still divided on the girls v. boys lines. That sickens me and I hate them for giving that whore the money, as much as I hate her for whoring herself to get it.

Vecepia hands down.

In no other season would she have even made it to the final 4.

That season almost killed off interest in Survivor for me.

I agree. Anyone remember when Matt’s “may the best man win” comment was? I think she was referring to when Matt shook Rob’s hand before Jenna went up to vote. His words were “may the best man make it to the final 2”, since it was down to the two of them + Jenna.

Methinks she was looking for an insult that wasn’t there.

Jenna doesn’t even come close to being as worthless as Vecepia.

Jenna didn’t have much game, but she had some. And in the end, she won by her own efforts.

Vecepia was by far the worst, IMO.

Come on, we all know the Bush family has been controling Survivor since the first season ! Don’t try to sugarcoat it, only a handfull of senators have been implicated.

I’m sure Matt said, “May the best man win,” twice – once at TC and once somewhere else.

But can’t we assume that “man” was used as the generic term, like “mankind”? I think Deena was reading too much into it.

I think Matt played the game exactly as Brian (last season’s winner) played. He was hard-working, strong, and won lots of challenges. He also wasn’t there to make friends, but he still won.

This group must have put a higher value on the friendship/bonding part of the game than the last group. Of course, I don’t understand why people who are playing a game against each other would want to become real friends anyway. Friendly acquaintences maybe, but real friends don’t stab each other in the back. I don’t care how strong your alliance is, you eventually have to betray someone. That’s part of the game.

Maybe it was Matt’s standoffishness that made him lose. I was really rooting for him. Or Rob, who was this year’s Richard Hatch.

V is the worst. Jenna won for the same reason advertisers like to use pretty people in commercials and why most network news anchors are fantastic looking. A pretty face subconsciously sways the human decision making process.

Of course. But I think that in light of his alliance, he meant it literally. (In any case, I remember thinking it was an unfortunate phrase to use at the TC where Jenna – and possibly HeiDDi [I don’t recall] – was there.)

That’s right. In the first instance, it was the day before the next-to-last IC, he was talking about his alliance with Rob and Butch. “Tomorrow, we’re going to vote Jenna out, and then may the best man win.”

The second time was at TC right after Jenna went off to cast her vote. Matt said to Rob, “May the best man make it to the final two.”

In both cases, it was only males under discussion, so I don’t see how that can fairly be called sexist.

Okay, I had only heard the second instance and now that I’ve heard the first, I think that whether he used “man” or “person” is a mute point, for the reason you just gave.

My opinion on Jenna winning? :smack: :dubious:   :wally all rolled into one.
