I don’t think the pecking order matters, because it’s pretty obvious that Shii Ann goes next and I think Rob decided tonight to cut Tom off after her and keep with the final four of him, Amber, Jenna and Rupert.
If it isn’t everyone left versus Rob and Amber next time, then I really do hope Rob wins the million, because none of the others would deserve it. If Tom, Rupert, Shii-Ann and Jenna don’t see the writing on the wall at this point, then they are dense beyond comprehension.
I loved Shii-Ann’s spikiness this episode. If I were her, though, I would have said "All six of you think you are going to the final four. Consider that. Who is lying? What do you all have in common?
I don’t think they are going to get it, though. The ironic thing is, Rob knows this. He really is the smartest one in the bunch. Unbelievable.
They’re morons for not voting off Rob. Every last one of them. Even Rupert and I adore the big lug because he’s so emotionally open.
I think next week either Big Tom or Shi Ann goes. Neither of them has an alliance. Or a brain.
That’s the problem with this show: you rarely leave it looking good.
That was me and I guess I was half right.
Rupert was probably the worst person to win that challenge. He has the most difficulty acting with ulterior motives. He basically just told everyone the order he’s planning on voting. He should have been smart and had everyone pick a number between 1 and 7 (including himself). It would have been more interesting to see how Rob or Shii Ann would have fixed the menu.
I was glad to see Shii Ann win the immunity. I like her. I’m glad to see Rob sweating for a change. And it pumped a little interest into the game. But I don’t think it’s going to be a major factor next week. Basically Rob had to stab someone in the back a week ahead of schedule. Next week, Shii Ann or Tom will go and things will be back on schedule.
I thought Shii Ann did very well this week. She tried to form new alliances but was unable to break up the gang of six. So she held out in the shower challenge. I agree she was being bitchy around the camp but it’s understandable under the circumstances she was facing. Alicia was acting just as bad with far less reason.
Rob’s facing a uphill battle if he makes the final two. He’s now going to face Lex and Alicia who’ve both are personally angry at him and Kathy’s not far behind. It’s scary but Amber’s coattail strategy is looking more and more like a million dollar winner.
Food reward was completely stupid. I would have taken the second best dinner, put the other 6 numbers in a cup and let them draw. No hurt feelings.
I couldn’t believe that Rob wasn’t voted off tonight. The more I think about it however, the more I wonder if everyone is thinking that as long as they are facing Rob at the end, they will win.
I don’t buy the possible Rob defense of “I know I pissed you off but I played the game better”. There are 3 people on the jury already that will not vote for him, IMO. He still has some more backstabbing to do as well. The numbers aren’t looking good.
I can’t stand Shii Ann and the way she reacted when she won. I wanted to slap her. She’s smarmy sweet when she’s with the group and the minute she has immunity she’s ‘f&%k all of you’. Blah!
Having just joined here, I’m not too sure what you’ve all discussed already, so please forgive me if you’ve already touched on the subject. But is it just me or is it completely obvious that Amber doesn’t have the feelings for Rob that Rob has for Amber?
Just from observing them together, I honestly think she’s going to betray him and vote for him one of these tribal council’s. It’ll be amazing to see his face when it happens.
I thought she was remarkably restrained. She won a challenge that she absolutely had to win, and she did it with everyone else cheering for her competition.
I loved how Alicia kicked in the attitude. “Careful, you’re going to have to live with us you know!” I expected the finger-wave to bust out at any moment. That, of course, made it all the more entertaining when it was Alicia herself who got nailed.
How could she not see it coming?
- Everyone dogged her at the reward challenge.
- She mentions that she doesn’t trust Rob. (IIRC)
- She gets voted off.
- She’s shocked! She had a handshake agreement with Rob!
What a maroon. Everyone left reminds me of bad days in middle school, so I’m rooting for Shi Ann now just by picking the lesser of the evils.
You’d be surprised. For some people, “unfair” and “I didn’t win” are synonyms.
I’ve been saying this, too. Ever since Lex got voted out and made the first Jury member. If I were Lex - or Kathy or Alicia for that matter - I would vote against Rob just for spite. Vote to give Jeff Probst the million. Anyone but Rob.
It’s really really stupid that they didn’t vote Rob off. But, due to clever editing, we have no idea whether Rob was up everyone’s butt all day long, or what. For all we know, there was just no way that anyone could have come up with a way to vote Rob out. Or, maybe just everyone is stupid.
I loved it when during the RC, Jeff Babe got splashed
For All Stars they are definitely the most clueless group of players imaginable. It still pisses me off the Lex, Kathy, and ShiAnn gave Jerri the boot versus Amber. What could have been a great home stretch has turned into the biggest snooze since Africa.
Of course, it also has the potential to turn the nastiest. Every person left, save ShiAnn, thinks that they are tight with the clique. It’s pathetic. And when they are voted off, there is definitely going to be anger and hurt feelings. So I guess the finale may be interesting because if it boils down like I imagine it will to Rawb and Ambah or Rawb and Jenna, how in the world could you choose between them? One’s a dick but the other did nothing but leech on to a stronger player. I dunno. I’d have to give it to Rawb.
A beef: I realize that hurt feelings are an inevitable part of the game because you have to vote someone off. However. The reward challenge was deliberately created to hurt, and I didn’t like that. How could questions like “Who’s the least deserving person to be an All Star?” or “Who thinks he’s smart, but really isn’t?” do anything but hurt, and it may hurt well beyond the end of the game. I feel very uncomfortable watching people be brutal with someone and thought it was unnecessary.
Which brings me to ShiAnn. I was GLAD she celebrated because they’ve been so shitty to her. I’m sorry but if the other players are cheering on another player so that they can vote ME off, civility goes out the door. Do you think that if she acted gracious after her win that it would save her from the next chopping block? Puh-lease.
The reward challenge was supposed to be a turning point in the game by mobilizing the weaker players (a la Paschal, Neleh, and Vecepia) by exposing the pecking order. That would be: ShiAnn, Alicia, Tom, Jenna, Amber, Rob. The mystery was where Rupert fit in. And he’s an IDIOT if he thinks it’s above Tom. Who’s more of a threat to Rob, Rupe? You or Tom? Hellllloooo? Last night was a golden opportunity to turn the tide against King Rob and they ALL blew it. Idjits every one of them.
Is there anything that can be done about Pagonging?
I think Rupert has been rather smart actually. He and Jenna are now sitting pretty. Any way the voting goes down now, they are in the final four. Unless immunities screw things up, the next two people to go are (Tom,Shii-ann) or (Rob,Amber). I find it unlikely these two groups will join forces, but it would be interesting! Rupert and Jenna just have to stay tight. That whole preview where Rupert says he is annoyed with Jenna is just false drama.
You’re right, Rupert has been playing it smart. He knows that if he joined a coup to oust Rob, he would be the next one gone, as he would be the biggest immunity threat. Right now, he knows his best game is to ride along to the final four, then hope for an immunity or two.
I vote for tossing the remaining lot of them off the island and taking a mulligan - this “All Star” group is just plain pathetic and have the combined IQ of a conch.
I really wish Richard was still in the game, at least then there would be some devious action going on.

At this point in the game that’s playing to lose. What’s he going to tell the jury if he does make the final two? “My whole strategy was based on riding Rob, Amber, and Jenna’s coattails, and then hoping one of them screws up?” Not exactly a convincing reason to give someone a million dollars. I’d say Rob would be far more worthy of receiving it it, and I hate Rob.
What Rupert should do now is team up with Shii Ann and Tom to convince Jenna that the time has come to split up Rob and Amber. If they toss one of them, Rupert still makes it to the final four–he and Jenna will be in control as the biggest voting bloc, and I’m sure everyone will be happy to boot Shii Ann–he can still try for an immunity to get him over the final hump, and he’ll have some justification for saying he deserves the million, because he’ll have actually done something instead of just following orders. But of course he’ll never do this.
By far the biggest problem with Survivor as a game is that too many players are content with third and fourth place finishes. I have a modest proposal for dealing with this problem: the cash prizes for third and fourth places should be eliminated. The winner gets a million, the second place finisher gets $100,000, the third place finisher gets a set of steak knives … and the fourth place finisher gets to clean up every single piece of garbage the film crew has left behind on the location.
That’s the beauty of his position, he and Jenna can now choose which two to bring with them. Well, maybe I overstated it, I still forsee dangers for him. For instance, if they vote Amber out next time, Rob will try to ally with Tom and Shii-Ann for a 3 to 2 group. Rupert and Jenna have to think carefully about who to oust and who to convince they’ll take to the final three.
Right On! This is so boring I am having trouble watching. Since Lex made the all-time worst decision by keeping Amber over Jerri, everything has been predictable. Rob really is in charge of this game, and I do see it changing. He will still win most immunities and the chances of Tom or Shii-Ann getting next week’s and screwing up the plan is minimal.
I think it is pretty clear how this shakes out…
Strangely enough, there is. Here’s my idea:
At Tribal Council, all members are required to cast two votes. The top two vote-getters face off in an endurance challenge. Loser goes home. Winner still retains the vote tally for future ties.
It’s kind of cribbing a page from the Real World/Road Rules challenge, but honestly, there are some things that that show does right.
Plus, there’s the added tension of having someone back in your camp that you tried to ditch the night before.
