I was thinking exactly the same thing last night! She reminds me of the uncool girl in High School who gets invited to hang out with the cool crowd because they need her for something. She then revels in her sudden “coolness” and starts throwing her newfound status in the faces of the remaining “uncool” kids.
I actually didn’t blame Shii-Ann all that much for celebrating her victory. It might not have been the smartest thing to do, strategy-wise, but the other players (esp. Jenna) treated her like she was already voted off. A nice big “F*ck you, guys!” is sometimes too tempting to pass up.
Alicia is just a bit too edgy, though. You gotta live and let live on Survivor.
Rupert and Tom need to form an alliance. It’s the only way they’re going to get rid of Rob. But I think Jenna is next if she doesn’t win immunity. She’s just too annoying.
I used to like the edgy Alicia. Last night while wathcing I lost all respect I had for her. when she said to Shii Ann “you have to live with us”. ( or something like that )
In the begining, I did not care for Shii Ann, but more and more I am finding myself liking her - she knew she was the next one to go so she shook up the game a bit.
I thought this episode was one of the better ones.
What floored me was not the outcome of the reward challenge, but the answers to the questions. You know Burnett was thinking of Rob when he wrote “which player thinks they’re smart, but really isn’t”!
Also I literally started yelling when everyone said they would most trust Rob with their life. I wouldn’t trust him with my shoes!
Every week I’m yelling at them to vote of Rob or preferably Amber, and they never do…
But, she needs to shut her big mouth if she wants to last any longer. Her problem is that she does things like this without thinking. Remember in her season when they all thought they were merging and she got burned by immediately turning on her own tribe and trying to ally with the opposing tribe? It’s the same thing now. She celebrates and gets all cocky, but she isn’t realizing that it will make them hate her more and want to vote her off. I mean, Jenna, of all people, thinks she’s obnoxious! (Pot. Kettle. Black.)
There’s a reason half of them thought she shouldn’t be an All-Star. She’s probably one of the worst players ever.
I’m going to state a very unpopular opinion here, but Rob deserves the million dollars. Everyone else is too stupid to win if they’re letting Rob dictate how the game is going to go.
This is exactly what I mean when I said earlier “this “All Star” group is just plain pathetic and have the combined IQ of a conch.”. How in the world do they think they can trust Rob with their life?!?
Simply put, this group of All Stars are friggin’ morons of the highest order.
Actually, this just got me thinking. Do you think Burnett intentionally had those specific questions to try and get the rest of the tribe to really start thinking for once about how gullable they are being?
Who is using sex as a weapon? (Amber. This should have pointed out to everyone else that she has Rob around her finger and they’ll never make the final two.)
Who would you trust with your life? (Rob? How can they say Rob?!? This should have made everyone realize who is the most likely to stab you in the back.)
Who thinks they are smart, but isn’t? (Everyone but Rob! He is playing Godfather/Puppet Master and they are letting him do it. Everyone else seems to be thinking they are so smart trusting Rob but clearly they are fools.)
This is just nuts… curse you Survivor for getting me hooked, curse you to Hades!
Are you under the mistaken impression that Shii-Ann has any chance whatsoever of surviving the next TC where she doesn’t have immunity? Her behavior doesn’t matter–she’s gone without immunity, History, Toast.
You’re right so far about who deserves it–Rob is the Alpha Male and will win.
My only hope is if Rupert and Tom wise up and grab Shii-Ann in an ad hoc alliance. First vote off Jenna, who really is one of the most annoying Survivor players ever and the least worthy of having made it this far, then Rob, then Amber.
But this won’t happen. Here’s my guess as to the order in which the players get eliminated:
Shii-Ann
Tom
Rupert
Jenna
And Amber and Rob will square off for the money. Why do I even care, it’s so obvious this is what will happen.

Yeah, that’s why I said it wasn’t smart strategy-wise. But we in the viewing audience have to remember that in the heat of the battle you do stupid things.
It’ll be very difficult for Shii-Ann to win. Even if by some miracle she made it to the F-2, enough people have no respect for her that she’d never get enough votes.
Lex was gone no matter what people. He was the only threat on that team. Even if Amber was voted out, his team would have still come up short of votes. Crippling your team by eliminating all your strong players was his stupid idea, so he was down 2 players, not one. Big Tom was going nowhere- that was just Kathy’s pre-boot fantasy. Post-merge voting has shown how strong that tribe is sticking together. Lex and Kathy played stupid, and got booted. Kathy’s sour grapes at the post-game interviews are amusing, but highly inaccurate. Lex and Kathy are trying to shift the blame for their own stategic mistakes. Lex: go talk to Ethan about loyalty to your friends you big fraud. Kathy: you were ready to jump ship at the merge after the reward challenge- so shut up about loyalty as well you coattail riding hypocrite.
The IC was really really really suspisious. Shii Ann was able to move alot more, and stand quite differently then everyone else without her bucket moving. Heck she moved her hand 4-5 inches from side to side and the bucket didn’t budge. Mere coinsidence that the person that needed immunity to prevent a boring show seemed to have a different set-up then the other players (see e.g. how sensitive Rob’s set up was). I smell the patented Burnett fix. Especially with the weird food Reward challenge too.
Finally, the smart players want Rob to stick around, as he has 2 well-known sworn enemies on the Jury, and now a third joining them. Also, while he is around, he will draw the attention of the other players. Amber on the other hand is the target that the clever player needs to target to break up that block of votes and her stealth path to the million. So it looks like Rob has a real good shot at the final two. Heh.
Give me a break. You can move the chain from side to side all the live long day, as long as you don’t pull it down, and upset the bucket. You can “suspect” things all you want, but I saw little reason to believe the “fix was in.”
Put the chains side by side and show me that Shii Ann’s was longer, and I’ll consider your theory. Otherwise, it just sounds like an overblown conspiracy theory.
If Burnett & Co. were going to rig a challenge, I highly doubt this is the one they’d pick. I’m looking at it from every angle, and I’m just not seeing one that indicates the reward is worth the risk to the show’s credibility.
Shii winning the IC is a Band-Aid on a mortal wound – she’s going to get kicked sooner or later. Why risk your credibility on a situation like this?
Sorry, it’s a little tinfoil hat to suggest a fix. There’s got to be proof. There is none.
But the hand moves in an arc since the arm is attached to a socket that pivots. Therefore, as the hand moves laterally, it must of necessity move vertically, just like the hand on a clock face.
I agree, but I didn’t see her move once, much less jerk her arm around like elf6c seems to think happened.
All I’m saying is, there’s no true benefit to having this IC rigged. Survivor does not traditionally gain enough viewers over the course of a season to necessitate the need to rig anything this far in.
Shii Ann got lucky at a time when she needed to get lucky to live. Hell, Nick did the same back in Survivor: TAO, and nobody said boo. End of story.
Alicia was truly arrogant “I don’t want to [even] hear what you have to say Shii Ann” or words to that effect. Phew, even Rob tock the time to hear her out – that over-emotionalism cost her last time, and if Rob pegged her rather than Tom [like he said he did], because of their week 2 fracas, well it helped mightily to end her again. She is pretty, strong and smart but her EQ seems extremely low (IMHO).
You know who I think may be the key? Don’t laugh but Tom. If he is no. 5 (assuming as I did wrongly last week that Shii Ann is gone) then Tom is in the drivers seat (assuming it is Rupe-Jenna vs. Amber-Rob) unless one of the ladies break. And last night Tom seemed to be trying to make headway with Rob rather than Rupert.
I agree that given the fury on that jury any of the remaining players should probably be thinking about taking Rob to the final two – unless they think they can get Shii Ann there
I also doubt the IC was rigged. From what I saw, Shii-Ann was standing perfectly still. She knew damn well she had to win, and she just zoned out and ignored what was going on around her and concentrated on standing still. Everyone else was fidgeting too much.
I used to like Alicia, but wow, what a bitch she turned into after Shii-Ann won. Yeah, she shouldn’t have thrown it in their faces quite so much, but she was happy to have won, and knew she had to win to stay around another three days.
I also agree that the questions in the RC were unnecessarily mean. They should have been more along the lines of the one about Jenna (“Who never shuts up?”). That one was more funny, IMO, and I don’t think Jenna’s feelings were really hurt by it. There could have been one like, “Who snores the most?” or “Who is most in need of a really long shower?” or something like that. I don’t understand what stirring up really bad feelings like that was supposed to do, coupled with that nasty pecking-order dinner party.
Shouldn’t we be getting close to the RC of an ugly car soon?
