Survivor 4/24

I think Munch is right – we’re seeing her reaction after last night’s vote when Alex was booted.

And Dinsdale, there was a thread about THAT spoiler a while ago (in the last two weeks). Please don’t bring it into this thread – most of us don’t want to know!

I for one definitely don’t want to know, Dinsdale, so please leave it alone.

Well, the way they’ve edited the preview, it’s clear they want us to associate the remark with next week’s TC vote, not this week’s. You’re right, though, they mislead us with previews all the time. But this is blatantly set up as though it were chronological. Click inside for transcript…

"… [narrator] and the tribal council surprise (shows footage from next week’s TC with Jeff holding up a card with the name blacked out) you won’t believe. [/narrator] Scene switches to Jenna saying “When I heard the vote I almost passed out.” [/preview]

Well, at least now I won’t be shocked (or ticked off) when it turns out the clip of that remark was about Alex’s boot and not whoever gets it next week. Rassum Frassum editors! Argh!

The heck with it. The real winner has been revealed to be

JoAnna! Praise the lord!

Well, yesbut. There is “funny once” and “funny more than once”- but hardly anything is funny time after time- and these cutesy names are not one. I swear I’ll go on a rampage if she calls him “Peachy” one more time.

But I agree with Shayna. Christy was SO nice in allowing there to be another letter auction- after she spend a huge amount of her cash- and had won NO food at all.

Still, I agree that the smart move would be to break up the girls. Vote out either- and my choice would be Jenna.

Rob played a smart move. Sure, he is never going to win the big prize- but a SMART player would pick him as the other guy in the final two- knowing that no one will vote for weasle-boy getting the megabuck. And second prize is way better than 4th.

Word, DrDeth. I don’t even understand why they call him that. Plus, the boards are kinda restrictive. I like discussing Survivor here much better–it seems like the posts have more substance.

I’m also avoiding talking about the gigundo spoiler, which I read a while ago. For some reason, I’m completely spoiler-happy for Survivor, but get me near a Buffy spoiler and I start freaking out.

Also, thanks for the kind words, Shayna.

When Jeff asked her if it was okay to auction off another letter, she should have said, “Sure, if I can have that big plate of lasagna that Alex missed out on.”

I know she wasn’t thinking about it at the time, but she should have said a condition of the second letter auction was if she could use the rest of her money to buy some food. She didn’t get anything to eat at all.

And why was Heidi (the big dummy) bidding against Jenna that second time?

Thanks a lot, Dinsdale, I don’t know if your post is a joke or not, but I won’t be reading anything more in this thread.

In fact, I think it’s possible that Christy didn’t even know that Jenna’s mother had cancer. Jenna never talks to her, and if it’s been mentioned around the fire Christy could easily have missed it – especially if it was at night. At any rate, I’m firmly in the Jenna-is-a-spoiled-bitch-with-an-overdeveloped-sense-of-entitlement camp.

As for Rob, I think he’s playing it smart. He was going to be 4th at best with the titty-alliance. Currently he has at least a chance of making it higher. Of course, there’s also a tiny chance that he’ll go before the titty-twins, but that’s a pretty small chance. Especially siince the girls don’t seem likely to do anything to try to improve their situation – you know, be nice, work hard, try to ingratiate themselves in any way with the current ruling alliance… In fact, given their past actions, I’ll guess that they’ll spend their remaining time on the show ticking people off, whining, bitching and shirking work.

I think that Christy is going to make it pretty far in the game but eventually isn’t going to win an immunity contest & get voted out. I thought I saw her signing something when she read her letter but the camera person cut that part out.
