Why do I keep thinking that when Drew finally makes it to a Tribal Council, he going to vote for Pedro?
So…another quitter. It’s very touching that his marriage is so important to him, but uh…aren’t half the other contestants married, too?
Probst’s opinion is that Sean didn’t really want to quit, he just thought he was getting voted out (which he wasn’t), and decided to pull a “you can’t fire me, I quit.”
The camera (or editors) sure loves the original Lulu tribe. About half the camera time was focused on those three players. I hardly recognize half of the other players.
And what is with two female players going on a quest to vote out two strong players who could help them win challenges. As the older female said -if it wasnt for Sifu, we’d still be in the cage in the ocean, waving at Jeff.
Are we sure he wasn’t? I was wondering why he didn’t just sit quietly and see what happened.
On one hand: the indignity of being voted out vs the dignity of quitting.
On the other hand: a shot at a $1million.
Which buys a lot of dignity.
There is no dignity in quitting on Survivor. Each person who quits took a spot from someone who, one presumes, really wanted the opportunity. I was so disappointed in Sean’s exit. He hustled all day and likely saved himself only to slit his own throat at the very end. Nope, there is no dignity in that.
I agree. Why not just chill out and see what happens? He might have stayed.
I’m not a negative-Nancy about Survivor these days, but this season has sucked so far.
Wow, quite an episode.
A few things- i still dont like that only half the players get to eat the merge feast, and why didnt they let them wash up? That one women eating with her muddy hands- ecch.
Then, why did Emily vote for kaleb? Weird.
J was worrying me there. First she hated Sifu- a black dude- gotta vote him out. Then, with Sifu off the table it was “let’s vote out Kaleb”- another black dude? wtf?
Not saying anything about who got voted out as the epi just ended.
Whoa, that was an INTERESTING TC result.
First, has there ever been a uninimous vote against a player at TC before? Because players aren’t allowed to vote for themselves, so it can only happen when a player voluntarily gives up his vote or has lost it somehow.
Then a player actually managed to use a Do or Die, beat the odds … and it was actually at a time when they needed to saved. (Versus the votes going for someone else.)
AND those happened at the same time!
And followed by everyone (except the victim this time) coalescing their votes on a different single player???
One for the books.
When the vote is unanimous, you don’t want to be the odd one out.
In the “Shot in the Dark” era, there has been at least one unanimous vote against a player. Zach Wurtenberger played his SitD in episode in season 42, and lost. The vote was 5-0 against him.
Not sure why anyone jumps to any nefarious conclusions if a player wants to vote out Sifu and then Kaleb.
I wonder what production would have done if all the losing players played their SitD and won (or played an HII). Highly unlikely that all of them would beat but theoretically it could happen.
There’s only one (or two post-merge) “Safe” SITDs per tribal. After Idolmageddon that sent Cirie home without a vote, I think they’ve been limiting how long idols last so there’s pretty much no way for everyone to be immune.
There was only one Safe Shot in the Dark in the bag. If every one of the six possible votes played, the other five would have pulled Not Safe.
OK, I thought it was a 1 out 6 odds for every player who plays his/her SitD.
They definitely made it confusing by giving everyone a die for it, but instead of rolling the die they draw a parchment out of a bag.
The votes are secret.
They’re “secret”. If there’s an odd vote out, people are going to want to know who did it. Being the only one not from Reba or Belo, they’re going to figure out it was her.
BTW, why are the dates on the posts so weird right now? I mean the dates under the message numbers, over on the right. Like the first message on this episode, by Dr. Death, shows as September 20th sometimes, and October 20th often, and vary occasionally as Nov. 1.
That is quite a stretch, given there is zero evidence of anything racial going on.
Nobody knew this, of course, but it’s interesting to consider the fact that any one of the players had the power to remove whomever they wanted, given the shot in the dark success and the unanimous voting.
mmm
