Rob won once, but he has definitely had his chances and should be done. Sandra won twice and even appeared on Australian Survivor, so her chances are definitely up. I wouldn’t mind some winners, but maybe some more recent ones.
I’d accept some MAJOR throwbacks, like Russell Hantz or something. People who have been out of the zeitgeist for some time.
No Richard Hatch, no Rupert, no Parvati. Nothing against people, but come on.
Liz was complaining about how she grew up in poverty and food scarcity. Congrats to her for rising above that in her life; maybe don’t voluntarily put yourself back in that situation. And quit whining about your choice to be there. The tribe should relieve her from her misery at next council; consider it a mercy killing. I can’t decide who I want gone more, Liz or Q.
I don’t care for Venus’s gameplay, but do want her to be dragged to F3 so we can hear her delusional explanations how she controlled every vote.
Re: Hunter and Tiff should have played their idols because they were at risk of being voted out of the game
If Hunter and Tiff had played their idols when they were first vulnerable to be voted out of the game, they would not have Hidden Immunity Idols* to play when they actually got voted out.
Hunter was vulnerable (and nearly played his idol) when Tim was voted out in the split tribes episode
Tiff had been vulnerable in every prior tribal council she attended and was the target in the episode where Tevin was voted out.
Sometimes you got to go with your gut, and I don’t fault them for trusting their instincts.
*unless of course they found another HII after they played his or hers was played.
Indeed. I’m curious though, why she felt so safe. Jeff practically tells them at TC that blindsides are in the air. And it’s not like she couldn’t have known stuff like that happens. Frankly, I’m bewildered.
Liz must be wondering why Q survives from week to week, to torment her and take the Applebee’s burgers and gluten-free pizza that are her unalienable right, and must come to the conclusion that God hates her.
So, as always, I’ll say that I really enjoyed the competition. Good physical aspect, and a good motor skills aspect that really made it a neutral competition. It was exciting to see… and Venus dropping the ball out of the net was heartbreaking. That was a million-dollar mistake.
I also really enjoyed seeing all the island strategizing. It was really nifty to see how the vote was generated, and how the personalities changed the course of voting.
But damn. Q looks really emaciated, quite gaunt. Venus has always looked like she’s ten calories away from starvation, but Q looked bad.
And Venus. SHE’S BLOODY SEEN THE PAST THREE PEOPLE VOTED OUT FOR BEING TOO SURE THEY WERE SAFE. Dagnabbit!
It’s five now - Jem went home with an Idol pre-merge. Just unbelievable. Venus and Q both said they knew they’d be getting votes. How do you not play your Idol if you know your name is getting written?
Also Ben? Completely MIA. Two different voting blocks at play and you’re not included in either one. He’s just there for the free pizza.
Good to hear you say that. Venus was not one of our faves at the beginning but she was quirky and fun to watch. But she slowly started growing on us last night we were actively rooting for her in that challenge. And like you said, her whiff was heartbreaking.
BUT it’s hard to have sympathy for someone who watched 3 previous people go home with idols. Just play the damn thing and find it again… you’ve already proved you can.
She seems a little stupid. I mean, she knew her name was out there.
Yeah, on one hand I feel sorry for her and on the other hand- she has to stop thinking she “deserves’ a reward unless she wins. And she went on the show with all her 'allergies” (once I heard she was also “gluten intolerant” I started to have doubts).
Up until this season there were only 10 idols gone home in a pocket- now that has another 5- so far.
Under that radar is fine until the final 3.
Nope, nor was Maria- one of the smartest players in the game =it was all Tiff, Q and Kensie.
Oh yeah - Don’t get me wrong. I’d never go out to dinner with her, because I’m sure she’d be rude to the waitress and send back her food three or four times. But I can still feel bad about her gameplay.
