I think Ben is tight with Maria and Charlie. They are the Siga 3. He probably put that vote on Kenzie in case Venus played an idol or Shot in the Dark.
FWIW, its only 4 people have gone home with idols, unless you are counting Randon who was taken out with an injury after finding the beware advantage, but never got the idol.
here are the last 6 boots after Bhanu was finally voted out
Jem - voted out in the last premerge tribal (with an idol)
Moriah - Voted out in Mergitory, no idol
Tim - Voted out in Split Tribal, No idol
Soda - Voted out in the other part of split tribal, 11th place first juror no idol
Tevin - Voted out, 10th place, 2nfd juror, no idol, but he did have an extra vote advantage.
Hunter - Voted out 9th, with an idol
Tiff - Voted out 8th, with an idol
Venus - Voted out 7th, with an idol
6 players left: Ben, Charlie, Kenzie, Liz, Maria, Queue.
Only 4 players voted out with an idol, Tevin, with an extra vote (which wouldn’t have mattered.
My preference for the winner would be:
- Charlie
- Maria or Kenzie
- Ben
- Lizzie
- Q
I would only be disappointed if Lizzie or Q wins, though.
My preference: ABL*
If I see her boo-hoo, scream, or wail one more time I’m going to throw the clicker at the television soft sofa cushion.
mmm
(Anyone But Liz)
I understand your frustration with her, I’m sure we all do, But Q is least deserving by orders of magnitude. He doesn’t help around camp, he has shown no strategic interest other than, “I’m a mob boss and X has got to go… no wait, let’s make it Y… (10 minutes before tribal) I’ve now decided it should be Z”, his challenge skill are limited, he doesn’t even seem to try (to the point of asking to be voted out) and he’s frequently alone by himself pouting about not being in charge. He’s only still around because he’s a shield, a number/vote and someone to beat at the end.
Liz has been deluded this whole game about her “plans” and her influence and her tantrums are beyond the pale. I don’t like her but I’d pick her over Q.
I really like Chucky but he’s a bland player. IMHO, a coat-tailer.
Ben? Who’s Ben?
I don’t really like her but Maria has played the best game from the get go. But I feel she will be voted out soon.
I didn’t like Kenzie at first but she’s grown on me. I think I’d prefer her to win. But it wouldn’t hurt my feelings to see Charlie take it either.
Kenzie seems quite likable to me. Unless something huge happens, I don’t see this winner being memorable at all.
Mine is
- Maria
- Charlie
Sad but true.
Liz and Q I do not like, and Kenzie has been getting an unfair amount of screen time- thus she will likely win. I have no doubt that Kensi has 5X the screen time as Maria.
Yeah if Charlie flips on Maria and they send her home, Kenzie is in the best position. Charlie could make a case with a few more immunity wins. I’m fine with any of those three winning, and strongly against Liz and Q continuing to appear on my TV screen.
We slightly disagree on Kensie, but I wholeheartedly concur with Liz & Q. Begone!
I think Maria is the brains there, however. But the fact that the editors gave her so little screen time until they had to, means she is likely not the winner. Based upon screen time it would be Kensie and -shudder- Q.
What the F***, Now it is 4 in a row

Ben, Charlie, Kenzie, Liz and Maria left
If Liz is a juror, and Maria is in the final 3, she should ask Maria and one of the other players to Rock, Paper, Scissors for her vote.
This season just continues its smorgasbord of hubris and I am totally here for it. Charlie, Kenzie and Liz played that perfectly. Can’t wait to see to see the fallout between Maria and Charlie.
María has become quite the entitled little twit. It’s a true measure of a players colors to see how they respond to adversity when they are behind the numbers.
As long as she was ‘in charge’ it was hunky dory but get left out of a reward pick and she’s too broken up to talk to Jeff. And wait, didn’t she just do the same thing to someone else last episode? She immediately says she’s over it and spends the rest of the episode whining about it at every opportunity - including tribal. That kind thing really irks me.
And what about her little pity party cry after they got back from last tribal. “Venus was mean to me, boo hoo”. Get some fucking perspective - you VOTED HER OFF THE GAME! Everyone is playing their own game. Deal with that.
I imagine Parvati, Russell and Rob watching, rolling their eyes.
I was happy to see Chucky step up. As well as Kenz and Liz. Next week should be interesting. Though I suspect Charlie will fold like a cheap suit and give into Maria. She too manipulative and he’s too kind. Maybe Kenzie can keep him on course.
And not that it matters, but just curious, who believes Ben’s bs story about forgetting what name he was supposed to write down? I love Kenzies remark, “even I can spell Venus - it’s a planet!” Ha ha.
What a whacky season.
Yeah that was bizarre. He said that to the camera in a private interview so I don’t know why that would be a lie. It’s strange because putting one vote on Kenzie made perfect sense, if Venus had played her idol, that one vote would have stopped Venus from casting the deciding vote on who goes home. But he didn’t even mean to do it and wrote it by accident? What?
So, Jeff watches a lot of police interrogation videos? That’s…uh…an interesting hobby.
IIRC the vote casting camera showed 4 people voting for Q. So the only suspense was whether or not Q would play his idol, which is unusual.
Yeah, which was weird but not out of the realm of possibility he would lie there too. Just strange.
Very. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.
I did not see Q speak to the camera at the end. Did he give any reason he didn’t just play the idol?
Q said during the episode and in an exit interview that he wanted to save the Idol for Final 5 to guarantee himself Final 4 (or even 3, because he felt confident about fire-making).
The bit at the end he said: “They blind-sided me. With an idol in my pocket.” Then something about he had no regrets, because he had played hard, and come up short, and sometimes that happens. And that he was going to go to Applebees and eat a lot basically.
He seemed pretty good-humoured about it. There were parts of this season where he was so full of himself, and other times where he was hilarious, and great television. He’s probably a shoo-in to come back.
They did that on Survivor - Australia (or was it Survivor - South Africa) in a similar situation, where the main tension was on whether the person would play the idol. I was surprised to see it this time, because I thought they would make a bigger deal out of 4 people in a row going home with an idol. When Venus found her idol, they showed her saying she would 100% play it that night. I was expecting something like that for Q. I guess maybe they are try to throw people off from reading the edit.
Different topic, I don’t know if it is just the edit but it seems like when your closest ally starts talking about how your friendship transcends the game, and you will be friends forever no matter what happens, it means that they are thinking of voting you out! Pretty funny, Charlie and Maria both about to betray each other yet thinking the other would never do that to them. I wonder if Kenzie and Liz told Charlie that Maria was coming for him. It seems like he gave her a long, hard look when his name was read for the second time.
And yeah, nothing strategic in Ben’s vote for Kenzie, just a brain explosion.
I hope he doesn’t come back because of his “vote me out” mentality earlier. I wasn’t a huge fan of his in general, though he isn’t a villain or worse-of-all-time type player.
I think two to return at some point would be:
- Charlie
- Kenzie
One of them might win, though, which probably reduces their odds unless it is an all-star season.
I give Kenzie credit. All I thoght for 80% of the season was “tattoos!!!”, but it isn’t the first thing I think of anymore. She seems nice, which I value in a player.
They did it once before in Fans vs. Favorites in the infamous “Erik giving up his idol” tribal.
