I’m always surprised they when they decide to keep the person who had a very public meltdown. That player always has another meltdown, often at the expense of his/her tribe mates and a lot of times decides to quit at the worst possible moment.
Yeah I didnt get that and-
crazy guy is gonna have another melt-down- soon.
Actually, they rarely do that. Usually one of the women speaks up and points out how some guy is annoying or 'shady" and even tho he has muscles like Arnold, they vote him out day one.
Yep.
But basically on Tribal one, someone throws a name out and everyone else is so happy it is not their name, they go along.
This is a common case in Mafia as well…and on the TV show Traitors.
Basically, evidence or not, the “hey, glad it isn’t me” motivation tends to be pretty powerful.
The only peron on the island that didn’t know that Sam had found the Beware Advantage was the caterer for the production crew. And that only lasted until lunchtime.
I suggest a rule that says if you tell someone you have an idol, the idol becomes worthless at the next TC.
Or just get rid of the Beware Advantage and go back to normal hidden idols. It’s the task associated with the Beware Advantage that seems to lead to everyone finding out about it.
At this stage, its still too many people for me to follow.
But yeah… Talking while someone has stated they’re trying to nap is a dick move.
I still really, really love all the new challenges. This one was highly involved, yet anyone’s physical ability or state could do it.
… Yet I can’t tell you how frustrated I was at that girl that said she couldn’t pull anymore, she was out of rope. Just move your hand position! Ugh!
Well, Andy doesn’t know and he’s the guy who found it in the first place.
I think the Producers like that.
I could’ve slept through him talking. But putting “bro” in every sentence would’ve caused me to snap my tether and throw him in a volcano.
As soon as someone tells the camera that he is the mastermind pulling all the strings he’s a dead man walking.
Another interesting episode.
- Sorry to see Asia voted off. I really liked her.
- I liked the Journey. Nicely twisted.
- Excellent competition, once again.
- I haven’t started caring about interpersonal relationships yet.
I see that Teeny is getting the winners edit, but maybe I am wrong. But a few people have barely been mentioned. I can’t stand Rome.
Ditto. I was hoping they would find some way to blindside him.
Have we ever heard of Sol before? He suddenly seemed important, but I couldn’t remember anything he had done before. With a name like Sol, it’s a wonder he doesn’t think everyone revolves around him.
Many players are flying under the radar now, only the loudest, those voted off and a couple getting the winners edit have we seen much of. There is quite a few players I go 'who"? when i saw them.
I’m sure there are people here who are better at game theory than I am. But if I’d gotten “lose your vote” on the first draw, I definitely would have picked again. I was surprised that neither of them did.
The way I see it, leaving one scroll in the bag gives me a 2/3 chance of getting the advantage; leaving two scrolls only gives me 1/3. Am I wrong?
The stakes for losing get greater as well, though. Even if the math works out like that (and I admit to never being able to remember how to think about this), it still might make sense to mitigate the risk of losing a vote for two tribal councils by choosing to not pick again.
I’ve got to say, yesterdays Immunity Challenge was one of the funniest I’ve ever seen. How inflated can your ego be before you are certifiable?
And the editing, between Jeff’s near pleas to let someone else try it, Sol’s continuing ‘wrong piece’ comments, and Roman’s determined attempt to attach every single piece to every single possible position even when matching outies to outies and innies to innies…superb! It should live in television history.
Damn.
This was just a DARK episode. So much threatening and domination by Rome over Sol, and just dickish gameplay. I really dislike the game Rome is playing.
And the move by Jeanvieve… wow. Totally unexpected. No trust on that team whatsoever.
And again, the challenge was just phenomenal. Really enjoyed it.
Kishan overplayed his hand. Things were about to go down exactly how he wanted, but he couldn’t resist stirring the pot to make himself feel like he was the one making it happen.
Genevieve, who’d gotten almost zero airtime in the first three episodes, is now One to Watch.
While I really wanted to see Rome get voted out, it was satisfying just to watch him get chopped down a couple pegs. From that hilariously pathetic puzzle performance to ultimately having to execute someone else’s plan at TC, you could see in his face that he knows he’s not the Survivor Godfather he thought he was. Will that make him any less insufferable? Stay tuned.
I thought for sure Rome was going to have a talking head on how he threw the challenge so the tribe could vote out Sol. Since he didn’t, he apparently has never done a jigsaw puzzle.
Yes, I was also convinced throwing the challenge was his strategy and expected him to brag about it at the confessional. Clearly he did not.
