Yes, led by Sage. Many of the votes were- based upon, “Okay, I dont care why we are voting out xxx, as long as it isnt me”. Few strategic votes.
But as Sophie said herself-
When Sage said on the beach post-Tribal Council, “You just handed [Savannah] $1 million,” what did you feel and what were you thinking?
I was thinking that — I think I said it. I was like, “I’m not going to apologize.” I still maintain that a Jawan or a Sage going home made more sense at that point than voting out Savannah.
They could have voted out Savannah on several occasions, they just -for unknown reasons- left the 3 person alliance alone. they went for easy votes every single time.
Didn’t you hear, he’s a legend!
Seriously, he did less than nothing. Couldn’t win a challenge, had no real gameplay and that whole ‘I dominated idol play’ bs was annoying as hell.
Speaking of. .. I think a better idea for HIis is to make them good for two tribals max. Make them play them and go back out and find them ala Russell.
It’s just not fun when a popular player has one and holds on to it the entire game. It robs other players of the opportunity and makes the game more boring. If everyone knows there isn’t a HII they all just lay around camp.
Are there any clips of Savannah’s news “anchoring” in Atlanta? That’s a pretty big market for someone so young. Where did she earn an anchor’s chair in a huge TV market?
I was traveling for most of this month and finally got a chance to watch the last two episodes yesterday. I was… underwhelmed.
This entire season has been all about people talking about making big moves, and then not making big moves. As evidenced by Sophi hinting that she would use her Knowledge is Power advantage to steal Rizo’s idol and then vote him out - which would have been absolutely epic. The jury would have handed her the million right then and there.
But even if she hadn’t flubbed the timing and tried to steal an advantage that Steven had already played, it was the wrong move. Saving Rizo and Savannah was not in her best interest. It never was. She hitched her wagon to the wrong horses and was doomed to always be at the bottom of that alliance.
Say what you will about Rizo, though, he was supernaturally good at convincing people to do what he wanted. It was like the Force giving him power over weak minds, and there were plenty of weak minds this season. And, his lie about when his idol expired was actually quite brilliant.
I slogged through the mostly dull finale, knowing it was leading to the inevitable coronation of either Rizo or Savannah. There were a couple of surprises, like Sophi’s come-from-behind challenge win and Rizo’s utter ineptitude at fire-making.
But the end result was predictable, even if I let myself believe for a minute that the jury wasn’t buying what Savannah was selling at Final TC. She was a challenge monster and played a decent enough social game. Among the three finalists, I don’t begrudge anyone voting for her. Doesn’t make me like her, though, and I’m absolutely not looking forward to seeing more of that smug little smirk next season.
