Less than 4 hrs to go.
“one castaway is reeling after a betrayal comes to light in the tribal council”
I wonder who the castaway is?
Less than four hours to go. Remember Survivor finale will be on Sunday as this is the next to last episode.

This is the point when the remaining contestants thoughts turn to “Who can I beat in the final two?” Coach, Erinn, and Taj are all losers in the final two unless two of them are pitted together.
Taj is pretty sharp - if she can get Coach to rub his two braincells together, she might just be able to engineer a blindside of JT, who will win it if he is allowed to go much further. It’s asking a lot, but it’s possible.
Then you’d have an ousted JT plus a blindsided Stephen.
It’s be an interesting final three if it were Taj, Erinn, and Coach. Who would you vote for? Taj is already wealthy and she didn’t do anything particularly well in the game. Erinn is the classic coattail rider who never wins. Coach is a delusional asshole who could have been voted out numerous times but kept because he was deemed the “player to be tossed later” aka the more useless of the two options.
There’s no way in hell Coach would get a single vote if he made it to the finals (which I don’t think he will). There are a slew of people sitting around jury camp doing nothing but swapping “what a maroon!” stories about him.
About 0.1% of me wants to see a Coach-Erinn final. and Erinn get a clean sweep of votes. But I would love to see Coach imitate Erinn shit-eating grin like he did early in the season. He said he actually practiced imitating her.
FTR, I think Tyson and (possibly Debbie) would vote for Coach in a Coach-Erinn Final.
But the spoilers I have read are saying that Coach is gone tonight, I sure hope so
Coach is a jackass even in defeat. That was priceless.
But now the true question. Does Coach think he was beaten by the best or does Coach decide he was blindsided by a bunch of liars who are unworthy of holding the title of “Warrior”?
It’s a tough one it is.
FINALLY! We DVRed it and will watch it this weekend before the finale on Sunday.
It was clear he blamed Stephen for breaking the Warrior Alliance. I think Stephen made a strategic mistake by voting for Coach. He is the one Stephen & JT want in the finals, not Taj. Taj is a good player, didn’t piss off too many people, and presents a legitimate threat in the finals. Coach gets one or two votes tops, and Stephen a JT split the rest. Now they pretty much have to vote off Taj next, and that will piss her off on jury if she goes before Erinn.
It’s looking like a final two, not a final three. So it doesn’t matter to them who is in the final three, jury-wise. Whatever show Coach wants to put on, he is the biggest physical threat left and has a chance to win immunity in the final three.
While you may have much glee today at the mockery and hatred of him, just know that Coach is a guaranteed repeat contestant in any future All-Star show. He will darken all of our doorways on reality TV in some form or another.
Or, maybe he and his assistant could go on the Amazing Race.
That’s no fair, he’s already been to all those countries.
Yes, and especially if there is a roadblock where your ass must be eaten by pygmies.
What was that Marcus Aurelius quote about adversity Coach was spouting? I have been unable to google anything like that.
Fool! You CAN’T google it!
Really, no matter how much pain he actually was in, he was seriously mentally unhinged to the point where the camp psychiatrist who now follows everybody around Ponderosa is going to earn his dollars, or pounds or whatever Australians get paid in.*
This was hard to watch for the sheer inanity of whatever was coming out of Coach’s mouth.
My final four choices: Erinn, JT, Taj with Stephen FTW.
That was excellent.
The videography when coach was in Exile was awesome, pure Jesus’ tribulations. Helicopter panning shots, backlit silhouettes while Jesus-Coach worships the sky. Coach met Satan in the desert of Exile and kicked his ass by doing… nothing! Kudos to the Survivor production team, that was most excellent.
Honorable mention: the soundtrack when coach lost the IC was perfect – pure Indiana Jones biblical-epic toonz. Very nice.
I don’t have the patience to watch that jackass again and transcribe & google either Coach’s poem or his Marcus Aurelius quote. I’m betting the former was plagiarized, and the latter was probably near-accurate but misattributed.
The jury members swooning while coach read his poem was precious.
“Stephen is the black, evil wizard!” Really, Coach? Tell us how you really feel.
Buh-bye, Coach. Say hey to Pocahontas for me in your next spirit-journey.
Oops, missed a point:
As enalzi alludes, in the previews Jeff says there will be three tribal councils in the final episode, which implies a final two, not three contestants in the final jury vote. Will Stephan or JT turn against each other somehow? JT seems like a cinch to me with the jury, but it has often turned out that our opinion at home has been vastly different than how the jury feels about the players (yes, Hot Amanda, I still weep for thee).
I’m gonna go with:
Erinn goes next, after which JT, Stephen and Taj celebrate making it to the end of the game, yay! Then the three are shocked! to find out there is another challenge and TC coming up, and there will only be two at the Final Tribal Council! All bets are off, and Stephen and Taj form a grand alliance (details are sketchy here, hmm…) and nuke JT. The jury hates both of them for doing that, but hate Stephen less and he takes home the Million. Or not.
Thank God for DVR. I fast forwarded everytime Coach was doing a monolague, so the show only lasted about 20 mins. The bad thing about him getting so much air time, is he probably thinks it’s because of his awesomness.
I’m hoping Taj wins. But it doesn’t seem likely with just a final two.
I think they’ve figured out it’s going to be a final two from the number of jury people and how many days are left. Debbie was talking about giving up immunity at the final three and J.T. and Steve are talking about being the final two.
You’re probably right, you seem to have a better eye for this stuff than I do.
I was also wondering whatever became of Taj and/or Stephen’s Immunity Idol? Who has it? Is it still potent?
One walked off, un-used and the other wasnt used tonite by Taj or Stephen. Which was damn silly. Why *not *use it? Tonite was the last chance to use it, it no longer has any value.
Maybe to avoid an argument over who actually gets to use it? Or some strategic move to get votes from the Jury? Or they just forgot it.
Also, is this the first time since the change to the current idol rules that an idol, real or fake, hasn’t been played?
