I’m on the Left, so please box your spoilers until 0100 ET. Thank you.
(For my part I’ll try not to open the thread early. But before six Pacific time I sometimes forget that people might post things while the show is ongoing.)
So the Final Four. JT, Steven, Taj, and Erinn. Who would I like to see in Final Two? JT and Steven. I think they’ve played a smart game, and they seem to have a genuine friendship. I’d be happy if either won. Both have played their strategy well. Who will be the Final Two?
If JT and Steven are as friendly as they appear, they might be. But only if they respect one another and like one another enough to accept defeat. JT appears more likable than Steven, so Steven has a motive to vote him out. For a sure win, either would want Erinn standing beside him.
Erinn. You know, I like small-breasted dark-haired women. But she was never really in an alliance. She seems a bit of a coattail rider. I don’t want her to win.
Taj. Taj was playing a good game early on. Recently though, she seems to have been happy watching rather than doing. Safe for her, and a good way to get ahead since she’s somewhat athletic. She’s smart enough to know she wouldn’t stand a chance against Steven or JT, so she’ll want to take Erinn. So she and Erinn will try to vote out one of the guys. ‘You’ll stand a better chance of winning the million against one of us than you would with the other guy.’ If she wins the final IC, she’ll vote the guy out and go to FC with Erinn. But if a guy wins, then she’s out so that he can take Erinn to the FC.
So. Steven and JT? Steven or JT with Erinn? Taj and Erinn? I think we’ll know when we see who wins the Endurance Challenge.
I’ve been resigned to thinking that this would be a boring finale - JT is too strong and is by far the most liked of all the contestants, whether on the jury or still in the game. The more I think about it though, they all have to know this, and there is no way he goes to the final unless he wins the final immunity challenge.
Based upon previous FI challenges, Erinn is the perfect bodytype to win it. Small and skinny wins FI. I’m betting that Erinn wins immunity and takes Taj or Stephen depending on who is left. I don’t think Erinn can beat Stephen, but with Taj being a multi-millionaire already, she has a shot against her, even though everyone likes Taj.
If it’s Taj, my guess is that she tells a heart-wrenching story about how she lost her favorite puppy to cancer as a child, and she’s going to take the million bucks and add in a million of her own to create a puppy hospital, but also welcoming kittens and koala bears and ponies. It still might not be enough.
My guess - TJ wins next to last immunity. Erinn realizes she is the one everyone wants to take to the finals, turns on Taj and she goes home. Erinn wins immunity, picks Stephen. Stephen wins a unanimous vote for $1M.
It’s been an entertaining season, and I’m looking forward to tonight’s show regardless – hey, Coach will be spreading Coachiness hither and yon during the finale – and we’re going to hear a sound bite or two from Tyson as well.
I have a bad feeling that the reunion show will be all about Coach. Ugh. 5 minutes on the winner, 1 minute for everyone else and 30 minutes about Coach.
CBS/Sprint did have the fan favorite voting. I hope Probst announces something like “Coach, you did not receive any votes for fan favorite”
There is a conflict with Desperate Housewives two-hour finale. Arggh. DH can wait, of course, but hubby doesn’t watch Survivor, the heathen. I’ll have to watch some of the Survivor finale in the bedroom, unless I can sweet-talk him.

I’m on the East Coast and have less than an hour to go. I’m rewatching the last show and my blood pressure honestly rises whenever Douche is on the screen.
This is the only one I can remember aside from Fiji where there is no one on the Final Four than will make me beseech an uncaring God for his indifference to the Good at 10:05 tonight. Erinn has been a genuine survivor, Taj wll give the money to a charity that will help other girls rise above the situation she suffered, and JT winning will improve his life and his family seems needy. But Stephen has been my fave since the premiere and unless JT wins a couple more immunities, he’ll win.
not completely unexpected, but still kind of a surprise. Taj is probably the first one I’ve ever heard be 100% honest about voting for the person who didn’t stab her in the back if she’s still in it at Final Tribal.
I’m sitting out the Hall of Fallen Torch Things, as I do every season. These people were all losers…why do we focus so much on them, other than to fill out about 10 minutes of air time?
During Bring Out Yer Dead, I immediately muted the part where Coach did his quote. I’ve heard quite enough from that idiot. The Final Three held their tongues a lot more than I ever could.
That was an interesting change of pace – I’ve never seen them do anything like that, though my memory for seasons past is spotty at best. More mental than physical, which is not at all the usual thing for the final IC.
You could SEE the moment that Stephen realized that he was going to get NO votes unless he scrambled, then the accusations about JT pushing to vote out Taj and Stephen valiantly standing with his back to that gate began. But, like Erinn said in the penultimate Tribal Council, scrambling doesn’t work.
