Well dang. Missed a golden opportunity for a cat fight!

First of all, is Colby Amanda’s boss or something? “Tell her to give it to meeeeee!” Like Danielle was nagging Daddy. Ick.
Second, Colby’s really checked out, isn’t he? Your alliance-mate HAS THE CLUE TO THE HII! Given that the rules on HII clues apparently aren’t the same as the rules on HII themselves, or else Amanda wouldn’t even think she could steal it, you don’t throw away an advantage like that! Wake up, Donaldson!
Third, Courtney is STILL entertaining, even on the “silent” jury.
Fourth…Bye, Amanda! At least we won’t have to see your weepy doe-eyes at Final Tribal this time.
Not that he was thinking that, but if Amanda did get the HII, I bet Colby would be the next target. So somewhat good move on his part. I would’ve just made them open it then and there.
I did like Danielle’s version of the story: “I wrestled her to the ground and ripped it out of her hand.”
Colby is an idiot.
My answer to the whole Danielle finding the clue is that WE won the reward as a team, the HII clue is for ALL of us, not the person who found it. Then grab the thing myself and just read it out for all to hear.
Candice is so stupid. What makes her think that she’ll go far with Russell’s promise? Sandra made the smart move and decided to vote with Villains because of Candice’s idiocy. Looks like the Heroes will be picked off pretty easy because that jury would be pro Hero, the final three need to be Villains.
The HII Russell kept secret looks like it’s gonna bite him in the ass with next week’s previews. Power struggle to come.
I had to laugh at Colby’s first reaction (just sitting there ignoring the childish catfight). But I am a bit surprised he just gave it to Danielle. I guess that’s fair in some sense… I’ve always wondered what rules they have against that sort of thing… playing dirty, stuff like purposely taking someone out of an individual challenge, or stealing someone’s stuff at camp (which I think someone did one time?). So, I can understand there being a “she found it, it’s her’s” rule… though yeah, Colby should’ve tried for the “it’s for all of us” bit.
Candice, you stupid treacherous bitch. How the heck does she think she can win? Even IF Russell takes her to the final 3 (which is no sure thing, I think she’s looking at fifth at best), there’s no way the Heroes on the jury will vote for her. No way. As Colby made clear, if they screwed up, it was Candice’s fault… and they had a perfect chance to get rid of Parv! What a moron. Funny though… I don’t remember her season, but I heard she was put on the Heroes tribe despite being seen as somewhat villainous because of her “dogged determination in staying with her original tribe”. Here she gets put on the Heroes tribe and flips at the first chance. Sheesh.
Wow, awesome under- and over-water whale footage again this week. I’m so glad we got HD gear at my house when Survivor went HD.
Yeah, I think Danielle could have persuaded to go along if it were presented right. “You tried to hide that clue, fine whatever, but now we all know about the it, so let’s just all read the clue right now.”
And, yeah, Candice was a real bonehead this episode. Not just flipping, but doing it the worst possible way by burning Sandra. Now the Heroes are screwed, Sandra is screwed, and Candice is a useful idiot to the rest of the Villains with no hope of winning. Stoopid.
I also noticed that once again if Rupert says the votes or a strategy will go a certain way, it never will.
Rupert was right about Russell though. I actually thought that was weird- Rupert was always edited as such a strategic dunderhead before- especially in All-Stars (I think). But here he made this completely correct judgment (as opposed to JT who completely misread the situation). Growth in Rupert’s strategic abilities? New way of editing him?
Not seeing Jerri as a potential winner anymore I think. She’s just getting ignored too much in the editing. I think it’s Parvati or actually Rupert now. Rupert’s hitting a good middle stride right now- he’ll be able to win immunity challenges if he needs to (maybe), he hasn’t been portrayed as hugely annoying or abrasive (which happens with him…), and he’s actually showing some real insight. If the Villains fall apart, he’s right there.
And one final note, I was really sad that Parvati and Amanda (a former Final 2!) had to vote against each other. Would have much rather seen Russell gone, but that’s Survivor I guess.
Amanda was stupid to let that HII go. Danielle calling her psycho was rich. No, she’s not psycho, she’s trying to save herself. Once again, Colby’s “honor” is his (or rather Amanda’s) undoing.
“I found it on the GROUND. It wasn’t in your possession. Possession is 9/10ths of the law. Let it go.”
At the VERY least, I’d have read it out loud and then handed it back.
Candice is taking a huge risk that they won’t vote her out next.
Editing is my guess.
Candice is to the Heroes what Sandra is to the villians: always on the outs, clear last man on the totem pole. With the Heroes she’s finishing 6th at best, with the Villians she’s finishing 6th at worst. Hard to call her an idiot for furthering her own game instead of furthering the game of your favorite player.
And oddly enough, I believe Candice and Sandra were swapped by the producers at the last minute. Sandra was supposed to be a hero and Candice was supposed to be a villain.
Is it just me, or was that the worst Reward ever? You get to tour an old house, watch an old movie, get some popcorn, then the 3 of you share a small bed? Not that I’d terribly mind being the meat in a Danielle/Amanda sandwich, but I’d prefer it if there was an opportunity to shower first.
I’m surprised they haven’t targeted Colby yet. I know they think he’s dogging it, but he’s shown that he can come through in the clutch if need be. After that finish in the Reward Challenge, I would have gone after him rather than Amanda.
Did you notice the body language of the girls in that bed? They were both as far from Colby as they could get and still be on the bed’s surface. Colby must reek!
Watch for a huge Russel Parvati show-down next week. One of them has to go. My guess is Russel, assuming he doesn’t have immunity.
Include me with those who are disappointed Candice switched sides. I was sort of pulling for her, but now I’m not so sure.
I suppose I can see her thinking. Voting with the Heroes would be risky because there’s no way of being certain how the Villains would play the immunity idol. It might have been successfully played to foil the Heroes’ vote as happened at the previous council.
Actually (and I say this every season), this is the point in the game where a strong alliance of two could make hay by switching allegiances with each vote. For example, Candice could ally with Sandra, and they could switch back over and vote with the Heroes to eliminate a Villain next week. Then switch back and vote out a Hero the following week. Etc.
It’s been a while, but I recall this is how Sandra won her first season: switching alliances several times, based on who needed her vote. Obviously you’re not going to vote someone out when you need their vote! Some people have cut their own throats by being a perpetual swing vote, but sometimes it works.
Another thing in Sandra’s favor is that, as a former winner, she’s a logical choice for someone else to take to the final two – especially someone who has also won before, like Pavarti.
Are we sure there weren’t showers in the Stevenson house? Why wouldn’t there be?
Why would there be working showers? Its over a hundred years old, and its a museum, not a residence now. And generally, when the players win a Reward including showers, they show it on screen, especially when it’s some of the eye candy players. I’m guessing that if an editor even suggested “Let’s cut this footage of Amanda taking a shower,” Burnett would give him the job of testing the next disgusting foodstuff challenge.
Too late to edit.
From Probst’s blog:
“Two women, dressed only in bikini’s who haven’t showered in weeks fighting over a small piece of parchment in a hotel room while the seemingly oblivious cowboy from Texas continues to watch a movie on the television.”
