Survivor Blood v Water season thread

Please let Colton quit.

Yay!!!

Happiest moment in Survivor history

Jeff: “I can now see, Colton,…you never should have gotten off the couch.”

Having Jeff call out Colton on his quitting - to the degree of also pushing the issue of his “appendicitis” in his previous season - was worth having Colton there at all. We all know Probst hates quitters, and he gave Colton no quarter.

Colton is gone? Excellent, now I can start watching.

I was really hoping they’d reverse course and take out the loudmouth. That was disappointing, although if it’s the proximate cause of Candice kicking Football in the nuckies once or twice (or ten or twenty), I’m down with it.

And if Jeff has anything to say about it he wont be coming back.

He’s gone for good, I’d guess. Quitting for no reason twice is ridiculous.

I hope they don’t invite him to the reunion show.

I missed the first couple of minutes. Caught it when Colton jumped in his Beau’s lap. What brought on his hissy fit?

No one on the veterans’ tribe is falling for Colton’s game. They all basically told him to shut it when he started doing his “sowing chaos” schtick and they aren’t sitting around chewing on possible strategies constantly (at least not with him).

In other words, they’re onto him and there’s no way he can ever win, so why bother?

Did anyone find it odd that Colton’s fiancee did not get a “Talking Head” confessional after Colton Quit?

His reaction to Colton when ran over to him and crawled into his arms was peculiar at best. More of disinterest than anything else.

He didn’t even participate in the Immunity Challenge.

It makes me wonder if there is really a relationship between the two.

I’m sure the Powers That Be on this show are bummed. Obviously Rupert and Colten were the two picked stunt castings … and both gone just a hair into the third episode.

Good, I say. Let them go back to completely new players each season. And ditch that stupid, impact stealing RI while they are at it.

Hooray, Colton’s gone! And before he can really affect the game, too. Thank god the other veterans weren’t buying his crap. Interesting how Probst called him out for faking his appendicitis on the last game. Bet he’s not too happy with the producers on the casting decision to bring him back.

The immunity challenge was certainly designed in such a way to punish the Loved Ones tribe for voting out their two strongest females. Because you had to go man-woman-man-woman, they were forced to play Katie and Ciera twice each, and they lost a combined 4 times. Ciera was especially terrible (she let Kat just push her off right away). I’m not sure what she brings to the tribe. They said Katie at least cooks, but neither seems to be very smart or socially strong.

I don’t think it was the best move to get rid of John (I’d either say, go for it and dump Brad, or get rid of Ciera), but he does kinda deserve it for not finding the HII with two clues. Candice is probably pissed beyond belief.

I wonder how long before the person on Redemption Island gets back in the game. My friend had an interesting idea that the rule should be “win three RI challenges, get back in.” Would help keep people back in the game and not leave it up to the producers to choose their moment.

Colton won’t be coming back.

Ever.

That makes me happy.

I particularly liked the way that his tribe were rolling their eyes as he cried. Kat, especially, had a look on her face that indicated she’d had enough of his shit.

I LOL’d the entire time Colton was explaining to Jeff why he wanted to quit because the more he spoke, the large the hole he dug himself

However…nastiness aside, I kind of understand his frustration with nobody wanting to play the game the way he wanted to play it. I’ve run into that issue a number of times.

Kee-rist, he was the worstest Survivor player everrrrr, and now he’s even worster.

Am I the only person who actually likes Football Guy? Why all the hate?

The interesting thing to me is Probst is an executive producer. I’m wondering if there was some heated discussion around bringing Colton back in the first place (followed by a hearty round of “I told you so” after the debacle).

Brad’s problem is that he tries to come across as a nice guy just trying to play the game, but his innate arrogance and assumed command shines through. Even rookies who have never played the game can tell when someone believes they’re just better than the rest.

I basically like him too, but as someone else in his tribe said last night, he (Football Guy) is trying to control things. After that was said, I couldn’t take anything Football Guy said at face value. IMO he’s trying too hard, and a kind of wished he had been the one blindsided rather than John.

That and some people may think he’s coming off as very over-the-top. Nobody likes a braggart. He hasn’t figured that out yet.

Yeah, but that’s the point where, if you’re a halfway decent player, you shift gears and pull out your Plan B. Colton’s problem is that he doesn’t HAVE a Plan B. The only game he knows how to play is FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt). The second he ended up on a tribe made up almost completely of veterans instead of a mixed tribe that he could isolate some newbs on, he was done.
