Survivor: Cambodia - 9/30/2015

I dont see how a preview can be a spoiler if it’s broadcast that nite.

But maybe the Op should have said “Spoilers!” in his title, I think, maybe.

No, Peih-Gee is a jewelry designer from Survivor: China. You may be thinking of Sylvia, from the previous season (Fiji), who was an architect of Asian descent (but much older), drove her tribemates crazy, and got voted out early.

I think it’s reasonable to discuss anything that aired during the Survivor broadcast, including the previews. I can’t wait for next week. You’ll have people who dodged a bullet with the reorg and other people who will see their plans go up on smoke.

That was what Savage was crying about? My sweetie and I couldn’t figure it out. The story seems an insane thing to weep about, so I’m going to chalk it up to him really, really missing her.

I used to wonder whether women on this show felt they had to stuff their feelings down to avoid appearing too emotional (Abi excepted, of course). With the other guy walking off to deal with his emotions, I’m throwing that misogynistic crap right out the window (the kitchen window - it’s the one with the furthest drop to something to land on).

Definitely agree that Savage’s story seemed ridiculously over-the-top in how broken up he was about it. I too was waiting for the “and then she died” or “my winnings will pay for her cancer treatments” or something but no, apparently it was just a story about how they met and he misses her. Whatever. Now, I can’t say I’ve ever been halfway around the world playing an exhausting game with a bunch of weirdos I don’t know, but I like to think I wouldn’t be blubbering on after only five days about missing my family. (Maybe after a month of starving)

I always watch the previews for next episode, personally, but I’m not sure how many other people do which is why I left it out of my post. I’d spoiler tag 'em myself.

I guarantee that Savage has that story in his repertoire. He uses it all the time and even chokes up at the same time when he tells it. He’s probably used it to get laid in bars.

Agreed. When I first heard Survivor would be in Cambodia, I thought it was distasteful. “Isn’t that where there was, like, a genocide?” I wondered. You have to forgive me, I was a kid when that was going on in the 70s, and it wasn’t covered in school at all. :o

I guess we shouldn’t take it so seriously. This is Survivor, the show that has disgusting food challenges (which I can never watch!). It’s not exactly known for having the best taste. :dubious:

Heh.
