Survivor: Guatemala Ep. 13 - "Big Win, Big Decision. Big Mistake?"

Two more episodes, you guys! Tonight is the Penultimate Peril for our lovely cataways, plus Stephenie. Which means, on the plus side, that we only have to endure the Passion of the Steph for a few more days. Tonight’s episode ought to be a good one:

You’ll never ever hear me say this again, but … let’s hope Stephenie wins this one! The rest of the players left are no dummies. They’ll get rid of her after that, right? Right?

According to the commercial CBS is showing every ten minutes, whoever wins the car has the option of taking the car or giving it up so everybody else gets one. That is one bitch of a rule, and I like it a lot. It’s one thing when it’s the loved ones. It’s entirely different when you’re deciding that you don’t want a new car.

I’m just really hoping that Judd can’t keep his mouthsmanship shut at Tribal.

Huh … interesting. It will make someone wonder whether the cars themselves are cursed, or just the winning of the cars. Verrrrrry interesting.

I guess we’ll find out if the car curse is associated with winning the car or the car itself tonight. Because you know whoever wins it almost has to give it up or risk losing all those nice votes at the final tribal council. Definitely a good twist.

Any non-spoiler boot predictions?

I am going to go out on a limb and say it is Steph!

Did Cindy throw a fit in the previews last week? Fit-throwers usually go home.

The fact that it was shown in the previews means she is probably quite safe.

And didn’t her fit look a little tame?

More like pouting and fear than fits and yelling.

[judd]Man, you’d have to be a real scumbag to not give a car to everyone else, man. You know what I mean, man? If you can give one to everyone else do it, man. Don’t be a freakin’ scumbag, man.[/judd]

Twenty bucks says that if the winner of the challenge chooses to give up the car, they get awarded a car anyway during the final episode, for being good sportsmanship.

I’m always wondering how the make sure the castaways jump up and down with excitement when they win those P.O.S. cars. Frankly, if it was me, I’d be asking Probst how much that thing is worth on the open market.

Hey, that’s an idea… How high a bid can you get on eBay for an Official Survivor Car? I’d throw in an autographed picture for free!!

Ian got a Corvette. I wouldn’t exactly call that a piece of shit car.

Not if you’re a balding, middle aged man with a mid-life crisis it isn’t. Unless, of course, it was a 1963 corvette!!!

I thought I saw a preview with a shot of Steph crying. My guess is, she wins the car, elects to keep it, and gets voted out in return. Nobody wants to give her a chance to break the car curse, you know? Or we’d never hear the end of it.

Mmmm … Ian in a shiny new red Corvette. Not that he needs the Corvette to cause the drooling, of course, but I’d be a fool to turn down a chance to christen that back seat. (Assuming it has one.) And I may be a lot of things, but a fool ain’t one of 'em. (Generally speaking.)

Stop drooling all over the thread, rockle.

It would be SOOOOOO stupid to base your vote at TC on whether or not someone did or didn’t give you a car. The producers put these types of things in there on purpose to coax people into making stupid decisions and mix things up. You gotta trust your alliance above all else.

It’s my thread, and I can drool if I want to …

Oh, Cindy, you silly, silly girl. You’re toast, I think.

Mah Gawd! The sense of ENTITLEMENT! “I would have given it up!” Right…

Stephenie had the best attitude about it. She was incredibly happy for Cindy. Rafe and Danni, not so much…and of course, we have Lydia with her utility vote again.
