Wait Ozzy. We were supposed to vote for Cock-Train? My bad.
But that still leaves one vote out there from Ozzy’s group that voted for Elyse.

I pray that after the merge, everyone from the red tribe starts calling him Benjamin. I want to see him go even more nuts. It is kind of ridiculous - a grown man demanding that everyone around him call him Coach? When what he’s doing has nothing to do with coaching, and he was fired from his last coaching job for lying about a leave of absense?
Oh, yes, and “my parents started calling me ‘Coach’ when I turned 18”. Really? WHY? This is our first real glimpse of Tocantins-era Coach this season.
I’ve watched all of the episodes of this season, as well as all of the episodes of the last dozen or so seasons, and this is the first season that I’ve wondered if they’ve been bringing new contestants on a few weeks after the premiere episode. So many new faces …
I suppose it’s a function of bringing previous contestants, like Coach and Ozzie, on – they need a lot of facetime. But I’ve never wondered to myself, five or six weeks into a season, “Who is that?” when seeing a person on-screen.
Some of these people, I presume, will make it fairly far into the game; I won’t really know much about them at that point, and I wonder if I’ll be inclined to care.
Oh, and I’m off pork for a while. I had to turn away from the screen.
Not to mention that it signals to the rest of the tribe that they’re working together. They just broke up one “power couple,” and you want to show them there’s another one at work? Not smart.
The vote was:
3 for Elyse (from Cochran, Jim, and Dawn)
2 for Cochran (from Ozzie and Elyse)
2 for Dawn (from Keith and Whitney)
One thing that has yet to be discussed here was how impressive Jim’s move was.
Where most players in his situation fail is they accept their place at the bottom of their alliance either out of fear of making a move or contentness with at least being in the majority. We’ve seen this with players like Alina from last season or Alicia in the all stars season, just to name two.
Early on, he (correctly) realized he was seen as a bit less cool than the rest of his alliance and thus realized he’d have to make a move to put himself in a better position. And he did. He linked with a couple losers who he should be able to control and broke up a pretty strong alliance to get the swing votes.
He’s now sitting pretty comfortably, as both Whitney and Keith will need him for voting power, and so will Dawn and Cochrane.
For all of Ozzy’s whining that Jim thinks too much about strategy, maybe Ozzy should have tried it himself. It’s never a good idea to get too comfortable with another player like he was with Elyse.
You guys pretty much took all my comments already, but I want to reiterate StarvingButStrong’s point. Chickenshit move by Keith and Whitney. Ozzy won’t be dumb enough (would anyone be?) to fall for the “be weeeeeeee didn’t vote her out” line?
Remember when Coach did the same thing in Heroes vs. Villians - made a throw away vote for Courtney that allowed Rob to be eliminated, in order to keep his “word” not to vote against Rob. Rob’s comment on the way out was “You’re a small man Coach.” I suspect even Ozzy will be just as dismissive of those who claim they didn’t vote against him.
btw, I think CBS bleeped Ozzy’s comment re his vote – all I heard was “[—] train”
I really felt for Cochrane when that “herpes” joke fell flat. So many times I’ve been the one to make an awkward joke that just completely went wrong.
I knew that. I was just giving it from Ozzy’s perspectve that even if it were a breakdown in communication in tat his tribe got confused who do vote for, there is still one person who betrayed the tribe. It’ll be interesting to see if he tries to figure out if it is Keith, Jim or Whitney.
On next week’s preview , it looks like Ozzie goes all petulant…I’m not going to help you people…I’m a free agent:rolleyes:
(even my meat eater husband had to leave the room during the pig thing.WORSE idea ever!)
PREACH IT!
If she loses the Duel, they’ve lost a viewer! (yeah I’m shallow) BTW, when does the person left on Redemption return? At the merge? Is this the 1st season of Redemption Island?
I couldn’t do a show like this because I’d take a “showmance” too seriously. I’d feel betrayed if/when she manipulated me for her own gain. I’d be on the warpath if she’s voted out
They introduced RI last season, and they made a big point of not saying when players would return to the game.
Two players came back at different times, both post-merge, and both were immediately voted right back out, so essentially RI had zero impact on the game.
First hot chick down, but thanks to RI she’s not gone. I think we can now all agree with the undeniable awesomeness of RI game mechanic. hehheh.
I’m just glad Mikayla’s still in the game proper. I’m rooting so hard for her tribe to win the ICs because it’s pretty clear she’s next to go.
I’m assuming they didn’t go after Ozzy because they still need him in the game for immunity challenges, as well as being a big target taking the heat off themselves once the merge comes.
Cochrane had nothing to do with anything. It was all Jim, all the time. Cochrane just jumped on board Jim’s plan like an eager puppy dog.
Wow. First good episode this season. I am sooooo on the bandwagon of not calling him “Coach”. I wouldn’t do it. You’re not my coach, asshole.
I do have to say that Cochran’s call on “middle age Ozzie” is right on target. This is Ozzie, alright, but only some fraction of the Ozzie who made a name for himself on his first appearance.
How long has it been since Ozzie’s first appearance?
