SAHMs FAR surpass any patience I have. I couldn’t do it. Not because of the housework, not at all, I just wouldn’t have the patience!! My gosh, women that can do that??? Stay for EIGHT hours or MORE?? In the same house with a (or more) small child(ren)???
(don’t get me wrong, I adored my kids when they were little, and still do, but I didn’t have the patience to answer 4,000 “Why” questions in a row, I guess I’m lucky my son turned out to be a “puter geek” starting at around age 3, and my daughter a dancer like me so we’d have some “diversions” from the normal kid stuff).
The daycare giver that my daughter went to as a child, was one of those women who always had dozens of crafts and stuff going on. She had a few kids of her own, and then ran a day care center for about 5-6 other kids during the day.
My goodness I envied her. I would run screaming for an ouzi if forced to spend that much time with that many small children!!
