It has been obvious from TPM that Palpatime was Sidious. But I think its remaining a “mystery” because in the film it is a mystery to the players. I don’t forsee any special surprise twist coming out of this.

We know it was Greedo because of the deleted scene on the DVD. I don’t know if that counts as “canon” to the die-hards or not.
