Interesting - I always spit them out. I thought it was a huge PITA, but figured that was what you did to get the deliciousness. Next time, I’ll try eating the seeds and not going through the whole hassle. For some reason, I always had it in my head that the seeds are poisonous (which never really made sense, but I only get the craving once every couple of years, so never really thought about it).
