I’m in the middle of switching from AOL to EarthLink. At the moment have both acounts active but soon AOL will be going be-bye. Should I notify administration? Do they care? Is it just a matter of changing my email address in my profile? Hello? Is this thing on?
It won’t make any difference.
Lots of people use different ISP’s every day, one at work and one at home, and one at school and one at the library, and one at the coffee house and one at the dentist’s office and one at the bailiff’s station, etc. 
But do keep your current email in your profile.
If you have two, I saw you could put both in there, separated by a comma.

We don’t care what your ISP is. Unless you misbehave, of course. But mr. Batty has been an outstanding citizen so far, albeit somewhat of an attention whore. 
You can put either e-mail address in the profile: we advise you to use that addy which you check most often. Needless to say, it has to be a working e-mail address.
Ignore the comment about putting two e-mail addresses in your profile: it’s possible, but it also messes up the subsequent mail link as it would appear to users (or just the administration, as the case may be).
I did test the 2-email approach on this thread, with good results.

It does work. People have written to me since then by clicking on my link. I get one copy that I pick up at work, and one that I get at home.
But I don’t see any reason to do it. Just a curiosity, not a suggestion.
