Just finished watching the Brady Bunch episode on Nick At Nite where Greg writes a way cool ecology song but Peter louses it up.
So Greg writes an (get this now) even WAY better song that Peter can louse up.
The tag ending after they have already shown the kids singing “Time to Change” has Peter, Greg and Alice in the kitchen. Greg wants milk and Peter nods Alice says “What’s a matter with you can’t you talk you have to record Greg’s song in a couple of days.”
But the ALREADY recorded it. Something must’ve been cut out.
If I recall, I imagine it might be another song, since one of the kids said something about keeping Peter’s voice squeaky-it was their new trademark sound. If they had not recorded the first song in the first place, as your suggestion states, then they would have not known what Peter’s squeaky voice sounded like when he tried to sing. Just my opinion.
Right. Greg has decided that Peter’s voice-cracking is the “gimmick” that every successful group must have. So the milk and the fact that Peter is not talking at all, is done to preserve his voice. Alice now assumes that Peter has lost his voice entirely which would mean that he would not be able to sing at all on their next recording.
