Tales from the MMP - Influencing The Market

Blurf.

Today, I walked to irk. Wasn’t bad, but carrying my lunch cooler in my hand got a little tiring.

I got nuthin else.

Good morning all! Welcome to the MMP, CP; I didn’t call the bus driver a bloviating ahole (but that -is- a good phrase to know for future consideration …), I just disagreed with her about a particular bus stop–long story, not worth repeating. But I was right and the driver was wrong, according to Metro. And yes, Swampy, you are a rabble rouser!

I’m feeling some better this morning, although there is a small spot on my thumb that did sustain a 1st degree burn so it’s a bit sore and I’ve put more ointment and another bandage on it. I’m caffeinating and have had a bit of brekkie too, so am now good to go to work. Now … hopefully it will be a better day today than yesterday. Right?

Happy Tuesday all!

blurf.

carry on.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

Welcome CP!

TOMKITTEN SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! I am excited. Some of the top layers of tired have peeled off.

Today is his shots, poor lamb.

So finally slept and he’s going to get shots that make him cranky? That doesn’t seem fair!

Yay for sleep, though!

Yeah. He’ll be drugged tonight. We’ll stock up on ibuprofen. He’s already teething and cranky so I hope it doesn’t get too much worse.

Back to child-wrangling.

Yay for sleep!

Nothing much planned today, except taking Dad to get a haircut. I need to do a load of towels, too. And a quick spiff-up of the bathroom.

I’m getting excited that my brother is coming! I haven’t seen him in a while.

Need more coffee…

Today is my 11th wedding anniversary, and I’m still maddly in love with hubby. He’s my best friend.
People tell us how great we are together, including the psych doctor we both see for our ADD and ADHD.
Our house is a mess, the yard is overgrown, but the kitties are fed, and so are we. We’re happy as pigs in… never mind.

Rebo while you’re at it in the bathroom, make sure there is an adequate supply of tp, what with an extra guest and all.

Oh like y’all didn’t think I’d say it!

ETA: Happy picuversary!

Tax season is over. yay. Tired. Is it Firday yet? I hope I feel human again before my vacation next week. Can’t decide if I need caffeine or if it’s time to wean myself off of it.

I stayed home today. I planned on going on, but as soon as I started feeling the urge to spew and getting dizzy, I nixed that thought.

Once I feel the urge to spew, I can’t stop it. I wasn’t going to try and go to work spewing. Besides, I don’t want to make my co-workers sick if it’s something contagious.

I crawled back into bed and slept for just a while longer. I’m still feeling kind of wrung out, but I should be one hundred percent tomorrow. I better be; I have to go to an off-site for one our departments. I don’t know why, but the boss told me to, so I shall.

The dogs are happy I’m home and are right next to my chair.

HAPPY MARITAL RELASHUNS! :stuck_out_tongue:

If you keep typing spew I’m going to spew. How do you type spew when sick and not hurl all over your keyboard?

‘Spew’ when sick has the same kind of ‘watertower watertower’ when driving on a road trip and you have to pee feeling.

I’m sorry**, CP, **didn’t want to make you feel sick. I got the er, um, *feeling *out of the way, and that’s how I’m able to sit upright. Besides, I can’t stay in my bed for hour and hours. It hurts my back too much.

In a bit, I may just nibble on some dry toast. Just not right now.

CitizenPained – I know you’re new here, and I would really encourage you to do more reading than posting until you get a feel for things. This thread is the MMP, which is where people hang out and talk about how their week is going. Coming in and attacking the people in this thread for their choice of words is seriously tone deaf.

Poor Taters. :frowning:

Happy dogs

Um, if it means anything, Twicks, I didn’t take offense to CP’s post. Really. I’m so used to the regulars here, I didn’t think too hard about what I was posting.

I actually thought it was funny- that’s what happens to my kids- one starts getting sick or talking about getting sick, and the other one goes. Ick.

Maybe we should use a euphemism. I suggest ‘technicolor yawn’…
