Well the former…but I guess the latter as well. Though we’ll spend a lot of time explaing to people how we’re not ‘together’.
shrug siblings, cousins, septs of the same Clan, (You did say Mc Productivitypants so I assume there is a Scottish connection) I dunno. No worries. Mr Five Eleven, (and even more insistent, Four Ten) at home probably wouldn’t be thrilled with me running off being a superhero. Unless I get a cool power and productivity isn’t it, I’m guessing. Being able to shoot bacon webs might be cool though.
One of the things in these kind of threads. Canadians can be a lot more cavalier about quitting a job. Getting hit by a bus isn’t the disaster (well on an economic level) that it is for Americans. Do mileage most definitely varies.
Annnnnnnd I won’t be having a job interview. Boss lady called me and realized the whole schedule needs to be re worked because of new provisions in our latest contract. SO, the position is pulled and will be re posted in April. I am welcome to apply then.
I think it just means I have 2.5 months to “study” for a job interview.
So, it’s Friday. Hope you still have a job, Sicks.
But I hope you get a better one soon! Mona, too.
Let us know (and whether the hookers from TriPolar found your house okay).
Well, Sicks Ate, did you do it?
Well, obviously. If he’d had to tell the hookers to go home before they even got inside his door, don’t you think he’d have time to post here?
So, if he’s too “busy”…
No, I didn’t.
As mentioned, I have other things going on in my personal life now. I’m going to get that settled and then re-evaluate.
Meanwhile, I applied for a job that 1) I’m pretty qualified for 2) would be fun 3) offers a jump out of my field. It closes on the 16th, so we’ll see.
Also applied for two other jobs. I’m holding off quitting my job outright, but if I can find anything else…I’ll probably take it and run.
Can’t do it. Quitting my job was the best decision I ever made. It gave me time to reflect on my life, and I’ve used that time to make some major improvements.
Well if anyone wants the post script/update a year later.
I never did find anything else, despite sending out many resumes/applications I never even got an interview.
In the early fall they told us that they were working on a re-structuring of our section to get us what’s basically a promotion without a promotion. As I mentioned in the OP, there was no place for me or anyone in my group to advance to. They recognized that, and also realized how much we do above our job description.
So, they created job titles I-IV, IV being the highest.
My boss called last night to inform me that after waiting for months, the restructuring went through. And, if they followed her recommendations, I was one who would be placed at a IV.
Can you say :D?
She did NOT have the details as far as pay, I have to get a hold of her boss for that and he’s out of the office at the moement. But, it should be NOT insignificant.
I don’t think that ‘things happen for a reason’, as tempting as it is in this case. But the job I went for in the OP was also restructured…and that position, I beleive, will probably end up at a II.
Congratulations!!!
