I haven’t worn rings in years, even though I really like them. I found on the internet a couple of tungsten carbide rings that really appeal to me, but they aren’t resizable, and I worry that if I lose weight, I’ll have to buy the rings all over again.
If I were to drop 50 lbs. or so, how much can I expect my ring size to change? My arms, hands, and legs are still slender even though I have the extra weight.
I bought a tungsten ring and liked it - mine was cheaper than what you would pay to have a jeweler resize a gold ring. I am not sure how much it will decrease, but it will. I am pretty sure it will decrease enough for you to have to get another one. Where do you fall on the scale of current ring sizes? If you are above what is the median ring you can order - count on losing a size. Didn’t have a before and after ring to be able to tell you there.
I was surprised to find my shoe size even changed with losing weight - and I had to take a link out of my watch.
I’ve lost 44 pounds and had thin fingers even when the rest of me was round, but I’ve still lost .5 to 1 whole ring size in my 4th fingers. The ring that I used to wear on my right 4th finger I now wear on my index finger.
I bought a Tungsten Carbide wedding band from TitaniumKay.com, which had far superior pricing to anywhere else online. I wore it for about 2 years, then started a diet and lost about 40 lb before buying a new one (only one size down). It looked just as good as the new one when I replaced it.
Unfortunately, I’ve lost another 15 lb or so and I’m probably going to need one more size down before I’m at my goal weight. But, at around $60 I can afford that expense.
I started at 270 for a 6’4" male, currently a little under 220.
