I’m not one for dressing pets up (unless it’s Halloween, in which case all bets are off) but I must say, Target’s got a couple of really cute items for cats: all-cloth velcro-binding collars, in various styles. Our two boys don’t seem to mind to mind them at all, and here’s proof:

We also have a felt-ring “necklace” for Goldie, the female, but she won’t sit still for a portrait.

I wouldn’t want to let them run around outside with them on, but it’s amusing to make them go semi-formal when we have company.

Wow! I thought Halloween was in October. I must be wrong.

The outfits are nice, but admit you dress them up. Denial will do you no good. Your a closet cat dresser upper.

I got the elephant hat for mine. Does that make me a very bad person? Because I can’t stand it when people dress their pets up, but yet… elephant hat.

They had sailor collars but not those ties when I went. I want a tie for Mr. Dewey.

Yeah, I drew the line at the elephant and giraffe hats, although I may purchase one just to have as a means of punishment for the next visitation of a ginormous wet hairball in my dress shoe. Or maybe I’ll award it to the winner of the current favorite athletic event: the 3 am Bed-Jump.

I wish I hadn’t opened those links. Now all my cats are complaining because we make them run around naked.

You should be hanging your head to have so demeaned your noble and beautiful feline overlord in this way. Terrible and shameful, that’s what it is. Is there no sanity left in this world?

Oh Og, do I want ties now for my two (Toto and Indie respectively) for their next trip to the vet. And since I’m not apt to even spend Target prices, I’ll be hitting eBay here in just a few.

Actually, our local Targets have had the ties (but not the sailor collar) on clearance for

99 CENTS!!!
