Is it possible to tattoo the surface of one’s tongue? It’s very different from skin surfaces, so may present unique problems with the tattooing process. On the other hand, I’m sure someone, somewhere, has at least attempted it.
WTF? They took the time to write and publish the article and couldn’t add a few pics?
If you want pics, just Google “tongue tattoo”. There’s tons of them out there.
A guy I used to know had “F*** You” tattooed on the inside of his bottom lip. I am not really sure why.
The Hawaiians used to do this whenever someone of significance died. They also broke out their teeth.
Thanks, I think. Gee, what the hell did I look at that for? Where is the EYE bleach.
Now you see why I didn’t link to any in the first place, huh?
It’s okay. Just don’t google eye jewelry.
I am so evil.
I have F*** OFF tattooed on the inside of my lower lip and did it while totally sober in Hawaii, along with some friends of mine. It hurt very little and I even videotaped it. I forget I have it until the subject of tatoos come up, but it does make a good conversation piece.
FMG, can you turn out your lower lip far enough to display the message, without using your hands? I assume it’s oriented for the observer, and not upside down, so you can read it, right?
If I do as you say, you can only see the top of the letters. It is made 100% for the observer, so I can actually pull it down with two fingers to ‘make my point’.
By the way, I did consider getting the bottom of my tongue done. I did not want the top done (did not think it would make good impressions throughout my life when in conversation), but I was talked out of it by a tattooist who told me that there was no guarantee it would come out correctly.
But doesn’t that give them one free shot at your face, while you have your fingers in your mouth? I guess you can display the tat one handed, block with the free hand, then come straight out with the FU fingers, but eventually, you’ll run across the guy who can feed you your hand
Yeah, that’s some sensitive tissue, getting it to hold still for the needle would be the challenge, I’d wager. My DIL has an inner lip tatoo, of a band name.
We love her.
Uhhhh, Stepdaugher for DIL, above. Living with her Mom, anyway.
